Comments about GHS Eric Johnson Signature Series Nickel Rockers Light Electric Guitar Strings:

I've used lots of brands, mostly Dean Markley for years, but discovered the EJ GHS Nickel Rockers about 2 yrs ago. I've used the light gauge on strats, and currently have them on a Schecter C1. I have the medium set on a 335 - I think the mediums are the best for gibsons. These strings feel great and sound great. As many other reviewers have stated, these are not for metal, but are perfect (im my opinion) for everything else.

Comments about GHS Eric Johnson Signature Series Nickel Rockers Light Electric Guitar Strings:

After 27 years of Boomers, 3 of Ernie Ball and 2 of D'Adarrio, I thought knew all i needed to about strings. When my local shop was out of Boomers in my gauge (10-46), i tried these EJ 10s - WOW!!! The difference is night and day! I've had them for three weeks now and the tone is still strong after a lot of studio tracking, multiple rehearsals and lots of playing. I am using them on a LP tuned down a whole step so they are very slinky but the tension is GREAT with lotsa tone and punch! highly recommended - they bend like butter!

I won't use another set of strings

Comments about GHS Eric Johnson Signature Series Nickel Rockers Light Electric Guitar Strings:

I read another review on how these strings suck, and I have no clue what that other reviewer is talking about. I just happened upon these strings years ago and they just sound/feel so remarkably different than other strings I have used over the years I stopped using anything else for my PRS.I suppose if you need something out of the range of these strings, try other GHS varieties, but IMHO these are some of the best strings out there.

Absolutely the best!

Comments about GHS Eric Johnson Signature Series Nickel Rockers Light Electric Guitar Strings:

These strings are must for anyone wanting to come even close to capturing Eric's tone. The only way to improve these strings would being able to have them play Eric's licks for you!!

Comments about GHS Eric Johnson Signature Series Nickel Rockers Light Electric Guitar Strings:

I use these strings on two Strats; one an Eric Johnson model and the other an American Deluxe which I've customized. In standard tuning, they do play rather stiff, but the tone is superb! They play better on the deluxe model, perhaps due to the steel ball bearing nut that came on this model. Detuning 1/2 step on the EJ model really helps playability while keeping the great tone these strings offer. Tone is subjective, and everything plays a role...guitar, strings, amp, speakers and even the cables. I've been mixing and matching for 35 years, and these strings do enhance the tone of Strats.

On a LP Standard. Stiffer, stronger sound. Not wispy, use other strings for that. Good for chords and single string. Very balanced.

Comments about GHS Eric Johnson Signature Series Nickel Rockers Light Electric Guitar Strings:

I've been using light top/heavy bottom sets for many years, but I wanted a set with a more consistent feel between the high and low strings. I'm using this set on a long (25.5") scale guitar and I'm happy with the feel. Most people would probably prefer this set over the medium set on shorter Gibson scale guitars. I'm also happy with the sound. Maybe more midrange than standard nickel plated steel strings.

Comments about GHS Eric Johnson Signature Series Nickel Rockers Light Electric Guitar Strings:

These are the only semi-flat wound strings to be found. I used GHS Nickel Rockers for years before I knew SRV and Eric used them. Thanks to Eric for getting GHS to bring these back. His gauges provide the best intonation for a strat type guitar. I play detuned a whole step and these solve all intonation problems on a strat's E. These are not for beginners or standard tuners, too heavy. Trower taught me to string heavier and drop to a D for tone and power. These are the best, if you have not played the semi-flat GHS before you are missing out on a better made and tonal string.

Comments about GHS Eric Johnson Signature Series Nickel Rockers Light Electric Guitar Strings:

These are ok strings. I think I'll go back to a regular low E though, as this is kind of big. They were kind of sticky at first, weird. Maybe just a bad pack. Well, SRV used Nickel Rockers. I'm gonna try some different ones though.

Comments about GHS Eric Johnson Signature Series Nickel Rockers Light Electric Guitar Strings:

I have only played on these strings once, but they made a he** of a first impression. I usually use Boomers, but I walked into a store and discovered that they didn't have any 10's but the guy that worked there knew I was an EJ nut, and asked me if had tried his strings. Well one thing led to another and I was very pleased with the strings.

Comments about GHS Eric Johnson Signature Series Nickel Rockers Light Electric Guitar Strings:

Absolutely the best! A slightly beefier set of .010s (low E is .050). They make my ES-335 sound fantastic, with the extra low-end growl thats perfect for blues/rock & roll. Extra tension also allows a lower action with no buzz or rattles on the fretboard. Excellent strings!!!

Comments about GHS Eric Johnson Signature Series Nickel Rockers Light Electric Guitar Strings:

I bought an EJ Strat, and wasn't impressed with the stock strings, but I put some of the EJ 10's on it, and the difference was amazing. Warm, full tone. I use them on most of my guitars now. I'm curious about the 11's, but the 10's are all my fingers can take for the SRV bends.

Comments about GHS Eric Johnson Signature Series Nickel Rockers Light Electric Guitar Strings:

I have been playing for about 23 yrs. Mostly heavy metal and then switching to blues/classic rock. At a certain point I have gotten notorious for breaking strings. I decided there were no strings that could hold up, so I always bought the cheapest available. Until I found these. The tone I get is top notch and I have played 2&3 shows with the same set and have not broken one yet. I'm sold!!!!!!!!
