Very good product!
Very nice replacement tone & volume potentiometers. Correct length for a Les Paul as well.

Comments about Gibson 500kOhm Potentiometer Audio Taper/Long Shaft:

The tone pot died on the bridge wiring of my 2005 Les Paul, and I needed a replacement. I bought one of these. It measured 400 kOhms...way out of tolerance (unless you consider 20% tolerance reasonable quality), but I used it anyway. you could tell that there is a huge difference in quality compared to the original. The original has a 1/8th inch plastic disc reinforcing the rotating contact. The OEM replacement does not. Once installed, I found a dead spot right around 2...and I doubt this happened when soldering.

Ultimately, I got a CTS pot. It was within better tolerance but not much (430 kOhms) and it worked fine. The Gibson OEM replacements are just CTS pots with the Gibson name stamped on the casing and the tabs pre-bent to fit into the electronics plate in the cavity. If they were of similar quality to the original, it would be worth it, but don't pay for these. Get CTS pots or something else. Not sure what quality the current electronics are for Gibson.

Comments about Gibson 500kOhm Potentiometer Audio Taper/Long Shaft:

Needed these for 2 basses that required long shaft potentiometers. Gibson makes a good product, but my main complaint is that these have some play; when secured by washer, you can pull up on the knob and the shaft lifts a little. They work fine but I don't like seeing that play. I also think they don't shut off entirely, I used them for both volume and tone in these 2 basses, and even with the pot rolled all the way down, some volume still came through amp. I'll keep them in since I already paid for 4 of these but I'd try a different brand of long shaft pots in the future.
