Comments about Gibson SEG-SA10 Special Alloy Humbucker Light Electric Guitar Strings:
These sound great over a 490/498 setup. Best I can tell they have a hex core. They seems to stay in tune well and really bring out the sound of you pickups; bright and full tone. They'll last as long as any other string... it'll depend on your playing style/habits. I'd definitely give them a try if you haven't yet.

Comments about Gibson SEG-SA10 Special Alloy Humbucker Light Electric Guitar Strings:
For a long time I had been trying to match a set of strings to my epiphone LP Custom, and these strings finally did it! They work great with a Les Paul, run through a digitech processor, and played out of a marshall amp. This combination made my guitar feel and sound like a gibson! I highly recommend it!

Comments about Gibson SEG-SA10 Special Alloy Humbucker Light Electric Guitar Strings:
The strings sounded alright... for about a day. After about a week they were dead sounding and they felt sticky. They lost their tension and felt like I was in dropped tunings when I was in standard. you are better off with boomers and maybe if you are feeling wild some elixirs.
