If you have a high quality acoustic or vintage guitar, you owe it to yourself to hear the difference a TUSQ saddle will make. Compared to standard materials, you'll hear crystal clear bell-like high end, big open lows, and a noticeable increase in overall sustain.

TUSQ saddles are designed to transfer the right frequencies more efficiently from the string to the guitar body, and have been proven to increase a guitar's harmonic sustain. Hear your acoustic guitar come alive with delicate highs and big open lows!

TUSQ is far superior in sound and appearance to synthetics such as Micarta and Corian. The high levels of heat and pressure used in making TUSQ results in its exotic ivory-like appearance.

Join those who know great guitar tone! TUSQ is used by: Martin, Taylor, Larrivee, Gibson Acoustic Guitars, Tacoma Guitars, Ovation, Rick Turner, Garrison Guitars, Breedlove, Manuel Rodriguez, Rainsong, Carvin, Landola and many, many more.

TUSQ has quickly become an important tone performance tool for many guitar manufacturers, luthiers and playing professionals around the world.

Bone and ivory have hard and soft spots (grain), throughout each piece, hampering consistent transfer of vibrations to the guitar top.

TUSQ nuts have rich tone and sustain, without the inconsistency found in ivory, bone and other natural materials.

GREAT TONE

Comments about Graph Tech TUSQ Acoustic Guitar Saddle - Non-Compensated Martin 3/32" Ivory:

I have a Martin DX1 guitar and decided to try a bone saddle on it. But it had a somewhat shrill and sharp sound, especially in the upper register. So I installed the non-compensated Tusq saddle and what a difference. The deep rich tone and that classic "woody" Martin sound is back! In addition, it fits like a glove, nice and snug but not too tight, and the height was just right for nice low action. No sanding or shaping required and I highly recommend it!

On my Takemine EF341SC with the original bone saddle, the 1st, 2nd & 3rd strings were buzzing. I replaced the saddle with this TUSQ saddle. I had to cut the saddle to size, but that was easy using the original saddle as template. Not only did the buzzing disappear, but the sound improved! I bought more TUSQ saddles to try on my other guitars.

If you care about helping make your guitar sound the best it possibly can, this is a must buy, I bought this one for a friend and he was very pleased with what it did for his Takamine 330.Which I believe is one of the mid priced models. It does wonders for the tone and sustain. He now prefers it to his old Martin. This makes a tremendous improvement for very little money.

Comments about Graph Tech TUSQ Acoustic Guitar Saddle - Non-Compensated Martin 3/32" Ivory:

As part of an upgrade project on my 1980 Takamine F385 12-string, I replaced an under-saddle piezo with a Baggs I-beam active pickup and as a result needed to get a new saddle (I also installed Tusq pins). This saddle was a little thick and a little long for the slot but was easy to sand down and get a correct fit. The resulting sound is incredible (both amplified and acoustic). The overtones come through much more strongly which improves sustain and string resonance.

If you have a Yamaha with stock saddle, try a
Tusq. It does improve the sound.
You may have to sand the bottom, to
Get your action where you prefer it.

Comments about Graph Tech TUSQ Acoustic Guitar Saddle - Non-Compensated Martin 3/32" Ivory:

The stock saddle that came with my nylon string acoustic kept causing the wrapped strings to unravel. I had never seen this before, nor had many of the techs that looked at my guitar. Sooner or later one of the three strings would be unraveled when I opened the case. This was not an inexpensive guitar, which made it all the more baffling, plus I use a humidifier. Measuring the old saddle against this new one, and then careful sanding and fitting, finally got it to the correct height. I made sure there were no burs along the top edge before finally placing it in.

Comments about Graph Tech TUSQ Acoustic Guitar Saddle - Non-Compensated Martin 3/32" Ivory:

This saddle was easy to file down to height & sand the ends slightly to fit in the saddle slot. It looks cool with the little "TUSQ" logo showing towards the sound hole too. I only had to take my new set of strings off four times to file more off the bottom before I had the right height! It was worth the effort though, this thing is worlds better than the original plastic junk saddle. This along with TUSQ bridge pins & a new TUSQ nut is a tone combo you'll hear and know your money was well spent!

Works fine and sounds good, better than my stock saddle from Takamine. I gave only 4 stars because there's always room for improvement, and I hear bone sounds even better. I dont have the experience with bone yet so had to leave this at a 4 to account for a better product than this.
