I use a Behringer FCA610 interface connected to my laptop for live performances, and these adapters are perfect to put on the end of the TRS cables I have running out to the venue stage snake. I've seen reviews claiming that they introduced noise into the signal path, but the pair that I started out with are completely transparent. The only negative thing that I can say is they are a little difficult to get a grip on when unplugging them from a snake or mixer, so I threw a pair of rubberized work gloves into my kit to make life easier.

It was attempted to be used as a form to convert a 1/4 jack mic into a camcorder AF-100 that has 2 XLR mono inputs. It had horrible ground issues and to top it out, it's design makes it impossible to fix.

Comments about Hosa GXJ-235 1/4" TRS (F) - XLR (M) Adapter:

I got one of these so that I could plug in to existing sound systems, and it's come in handy on several occasions. It's a lot easier than having to carry two cables! After my guitar, this is the best investment I've made!

I wanted a back up to my usual TRS unbalanced to XLR cable and this combined with a TRS balanced patch cable is perfect!

        Comments about Hosa GXJ-235 1/4" TRS (F) - XLR (M) Adapter:

I wish the sound quality was as good when using this device as it is when I plug into the other side of the amp that has a 1/4" plug already. It will do in a pinch, but I was hoping for better quality.

With this product, you can connect it to an existing 1/4" jack and not have to solder it in case you need to use the 1/4" jack again.

                      Comments about Hosa GXJ-235 1/4" TRS (F) - XLR (M) Adapter:

Needed to plug a 1/4" cable for a wireless mic receiving unit into an XLR jack on the PA snake. This did the trick without buying a fancy cable and induced no hum into the signal. BTW - the cable was mono (tip/sleeve) and not stereo TRS (tip/ring/sleeve) but still works fine. Think I'll buy another one in case we need to plug a guitar into the snake!

This unit induced a lot of hum in the sound system. I have used a similar adapter of another brand that does not do this.
