A first in the realm of practice drum pads.

With the HQ RealFeel Snare Cartridge pad it's snares off or snares on. The player decides.

HQ added a brilliant innovation to standard practice pad by creating a product that can double as both a snare and a standard pad. Better still, you can make the change in moments. By offering the option of toggling between sounds on a single pad, HQ has introduced adjustability to the practice pad equation.

Before the RealFeel Snare Cartridge Pad was introduced, players were forced to buy multiple pads to get multiple drum sounds. With its removable cartridge, the Snare Cartridge Pad enables players to alternate between a snare sizzle and a dry sound, all on the same pad.

The RealFeel Snare Cartridge Pad is 9" in diameter and features the same durable construction and refined aesthetics as other HQ pads. Instantly identifiable with their steel gray/textured rubber look and black, powder-coated base. The snare cartridge sits in a hollow on the underside of the pad, until removed. It's a stroke of genius.

Where should I start I've had this pad going on for a decade and it's still strong other then the wood loosing some paint but that's expected over time after having this pad this long I expected it to be broken and busted and the only things that's broken is the snare cartridge and that's my fault I wish they still made this pad because I'd buy it over

    Great pad, good bounce, questionable

I like the pad a lot--good bounce, very solid and stable. The snare cartridge doesn't work at all, however. With the cartridge in while slamming on the pad, I might hear a minuscule rattle, maybe. Buy it for the pad, and you'll be happy. Expect a snare sound, and you'll be disappointed.

This thing is the best investment for your chops! It?s quite, durable, and it has this cool snares on-off feature that makes practicing with it more enjoyable. Great device, EVANS ROCKS!!!

    Very enjoyable

    By Austin-uQ8PB

I ordered this practice pad about five months ago, and can now give a good review. First off, this practice pad makes practicing more enjoyable due to the cool snare sounds. I wish this came in twelve inch, because it just seems kind of small to me. After about five months of moderate use, I was playing and the snare cartridge came out. I reached to put it back in and realized the metal pieace was still attached by magnet to the pad, and had come unglued from the rest of the cartridge. This was thankfully an easy fix, however. I do think this is a little overpriced. I am now going to purchase a Vic Firth Slimpad to carry to school and back, and leave this at home for practice. Fun practice pad, but probably not reccomended if you plan to take it to competitions and rehearsals often due to possibility of losing the cartridge.

This snare pad will help you with your chops if you are in a snare line. And a cool snare sound that you can take out if you get sick of it.
