These 80/20 bronze strings have a great sound and last just as long as the expensive name brand strings that cost much more. They have a brilliant color, and the windings appear uniform across the length of the string with no gaps or machine errors. After three or four good stretches they stay in tune no problem, and go through the standard life cycle / string phases just like any other guitar string.

Other reviews claim these strings die out quickly, or are dead sounding from the start, or that they leave a black residue on the fingers - none of these have ever happened to me personally, and I have been using these Musician's Gear strings exclusively for both my electrics and my acoustics for over a year now.

Just make sure you wash your hands before playing so you don't gunk them up - Then make sure to wipe them down when finished to maintain maximum lifespan..

The cost / value of these strings just cannot be beat! I hope the quality and price of these strings continues to be offered indefinitely!
They're strings - so not much in the way of features
These strings sound just as good, and last just as long, as name brand strings costing 5x the price!
You cannot beat the price and quality of these strings! At this price you can buy in bulk and change as frequently as you like...

Yeah, I know....these aren't elixirs or Martins but what the heck! I'm a luthier who specializes in repairing old beat up acoustics. So everytime you have to string one up to see how it's playing, and then take the strings off to get back inside. The tensioning and retensioning means they are likely to break soon anyway. For the price these play almost as well as the fancy name brands. Sometimes (cause I'm a cheap son-of-a- I'll even jam and gig with these.

They are bright and full on most acoustics of any size/style. The only real negative is that they lose their tone fairly quickly and need to get changed again. So what for this price!

Comments about Musician's Gear Acoustic 13 80/20 Bronze Guitar Strings:

I use these on my maple Washburn small dreadnaught, my Silver Creek 000, and my Rogue resophonic...I use the bass 3 on my Gretsch Hawiian Historic Series, which I tune to Spanish G and use heavy trebles (14, 18, and 27 90/10 bronze for the G string, which I buy indiviually) for that snappy Son House sound and more ring with slide... They work great in all these settings and last long while keeping their sound. They are pretty bright when I first put them on but settle quickly into just the right combination of brightness and punch pretty quickly. They keep their colour and tone for a long time, but like any string, when they start to lose their tone and get a lil' funky I change 'em. I have to say, though, I think they last longer and more consistantly thand just about any other acoustic strings I've ever used...
I've been using these strings for about a year now, bought them on a whim because they were inexpensive.
They are individually wrapped in plastic that resists any kind of nasty Mississippi weather, corrosion or anything else that happens to strings anywhere...In other words, they are factory fresh and clean and shiny right out of the pack. They DON'T have a mile of extra string at the top and it's pretty easy to judge exactly where to lock them before you wind them...They lock and hold beautifully, stay in tune well. I play both with bare fingers and a thumbpick and fingerpick. I play hard Mississippi Delta Blues style and slide and these strings hold their tone and strength well...In other words, they last well with vigorous Charley Patton like snapping and beating...The sort of thing that used to break strings like crazy that I paid much more money for in the past...
In over 40 years of playing hard Blues and trying just about every 80/20 string brand there is, well, I'm really stuck on these!

If you order the right gauge for your tastes, you won't be disappointed with these strings. They wear well, tune easily, and sound great. What more could you really ask for?
Strings don't have many features, these are somewhat slinky, but not the slinkiest of this brand. You want really slinky, go with the lighter gauge.
They seldom break, wear well, tune easily, and after the intitial couple of tunings, they stay in tune quite well. I've paid a lot more, but never had better playing or sounding strings.
Best value there is in strings, period. You simply can't do better.

I have had these strings on my guitar for about 4 days now, and they sound fantastic, almost like a brand new guitar, when I purchased 3 packs these strings I was worried they'd be cheap, but I was WRONG. I'd been using martin medium wound 80/20, strings and I thought those were good, but compared to these those are the cheap ones, I will surely buy again.

Comments about Musician's Gear Acoustic 13 80/20 Bronze Guitar Strings:

I'm a tight with a buck by nature but when I ordered these strings I was skeptical. I was shocked at the price. After using these strings for 6 months, I can tell you that these strings are fine. . They are quite durable and sound at least as good out of the package as some expensive coated strings I've tried.
