i had no clue why i bought this. this stand pretty much makes pearl look bad. ive had a splash and a china used on this before... no luck with either. because of this stand, my china is not on my set. each time you hit the cymbal on this stand, it moves a little. eventually, the cymbal will be surprisingly out of reach. would be worth the price if it was more like free. if you want a good small stand, go for the pearl CH70.

It's an alright stand...

By Simon24262

from Hyannis, MA

This stand does the job. I have an 18" China on it and it doesn't move. It tips a little bit due to the weight of the cymbal, but other than that it stays in place and does what it should.

Bad investment

Moved all over the place even holding a splash. Finally after a few adjustment, the thread was gone. Now doesn't lock in position at all. The clamp looks nice but functionally just not there.

good for its price

Even though it is wobbly, it's great for its price. I like it because it's flexible.

Pearl Cymbal Holder w/Clamp

By Jason Paljug

It's pretty good, but it moves too easily. So it's a pain to keep positioning it.

i have one of these.

I recantly purchassed this stand for my eight inch splash and the quality isn't exactly all there. for example, a hard, quick thrust from a drumstick to the cymbal would pretty easily move the cymbal stand into a differant position, making a constant sound and constant cymbal "aim" very difficult to grasp.

Better than expected

I heard a lot of negative things about this clamp, but it has exceeded all my hopes. I've put a splash, a crash, a ride, and a china cymbal on this clamp it hasn't moved once. no matter how hard I play it, it doesn't move. It's a great deal.

So-So Product

The cymbal holder is a pretty well made product. If you need somewhere to put a cymbal it will do just as long as it's not something big like 18" or 20" cymbals. There's not really a lot of movement capability. I would've like to see the holder turn sideways and maybe the clamp invert to make your positioning and whatnot easier to do to the way you want it.

Good for other cymbals...

By ZORGALIAN

from Oakdale, PA

It works for me. I have 2 of them, and may get a third to replace my really crappy old one. It is soooo good for space usage.

Poor Quality

By Spaundrummer

I bought this arm a couple of years ago, and it was a waste of money. I am surprised pearl would put their name on such an inferior product. The arm I bought only lasted a couple of weeks. The wing nut that hooks the arm to the clamp stripped out, so when you hit the cymbal, it would fall off. I only had an 8" splash on it, but it still broke. I would pay the extra and get an upper line pearl stand.

It's ok

By Anonymous

The other people are right, it moves, but i have 2 and a splash and china are on them. The one with the china moves, the one with the splash doesn't. It's not that bad for 15 dollars though.

pearl clamp

By drummer4eva311

it doesn't stay sturdy on my cymbal stand, it moves all over the place, and it's tightened all the way.

Pretty Nice

By RushRules123

from Roseville MI

Some people's reviews aren't good on this, but i have a 8 inch slash on it, and it works perfecly. it may move a bit, but you just tighten the nut a little bit. plus, i like to have easy versitility when moving it for rock or jazz.

poorly made, i've tried putting a china and a splash on this and even with my splash it would be surprisingly out of reach with a few hits, i even tightened with a pair of pliars. definitely space and cost efficient for a small cymbal, but it's not going to hold, right now i have a gibraltar arm and clamp, it's fairly cheap, and never moves.

This is a cool product for low budget musicians.

This accessory is very cheap, yet very useful. I have used it and it holds the cymbal on well.(i use it for a splash and a ride) I give this product three thumbs up, although I only have two thumbs.
