Comments about Pearl S930D Low Snare Stand:

This stand goes down low enough for any adult or child drummer. Very stable, sturdy and well made. The rubber mounting system Pearl uses is not something I have seen on other stands before and it secures the drum very well. The stand is a little heavy but worth the extra weight because of all the other features.

Comments about Pearl S930D Low Snare Stand:

This is a great sturdy stand. Perfect for gripping my 13 inch snare. There are no plastic adjustment pieces, either. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the feet are very wide. Other than that, it's great. Nice low profile.

Comments about Pearl S930D Low Snare Stand:

This is a solid snare stand. At first I had a little trouble with it seeming unbalanced (as the snare basket is offset from the base/legs), but opening the base almost all the way (so it's at its widest point) seemed to help.

I picked this up on the suggestion of a fellow drummer. The tilt function allows you to set the snare exactly where you need it. Sturdy, great piece of gear.

                • Snares over 6" deep or under 14" diameter

Comments about Pearl S930D Low Snare Stand:

Very pleased with this stand, especially for the price. I like 13" snares, as well as deep snares, which always creates height issues with standard snare stands. I bought this stand to use with my new Pork Pie 13X7 snare, in hopes that it would allow me to drop it down to at least a workable playing height of 26"-28". To my surprise, this stand allows me to achieve adjustment as low as 24" from floor to top of batter rim. For a 13x7, that's awesome. The offset drop-basket also allows me to position the stand's feet out of the way from the kick & hat pedals. The offset tilt function may create issues for those who like their snare tilted, but I play mine flat. The rubber tips on the basket do s great job of holding a 13" snare without having extreme angles on the basket arm. It may make a 14" snare a tight fit, but it works fine. If you have a 15" or larger snare, you may want to replace the rubber basket arm tips with ones of a more traditional design....or cut off the isolation extensions. The solid aluminum basket adjustment knob is a nice change from the typical plastic star wheels. My ONLY criticism is the weight. It's just a touch on the heavy side, but, it's extremely solid and will have no issues holding a heavy 14X8 snare if required.

Comments about Pearl S930D Low Snare Stand:

I am using a Nobel and Cooley 12 x 6" piccolo snare as my main snare now and because it is both tall and small diameter my old snare stand was too tall once I had the drum locked into the grips, even with the stand dropped as low as possible. The low profile of the new stand gave me extra depth I needed to get the snare in playable range for me. My old stand will stay with my old 12x3" Tama steel snare, either to switch out or to use as a side snare.
