Comments about Rocky Mountain Slides Mark Robinson Signature Model Guitar Slide:

the mark robinson slide is great for smaller hands or playing on a standard tuned electric ( not set up for slide ) . its 2 1/2 " long rather than 2 3/4" & wall seems slightly thinner than a dunlop 215 so its lighter than some other ceramic / porcelain slides of standard size, which is why I like it.

It's properties in sound beat the competition. I spoke with the company's owner/creator prior to my purchase.

Comments about Rocky Mountain Slides Mark Robinson Signature Model Guitar Slide:

What I have to say is opinion and doesn't reflect on the quality of this slide.

I wanted to learn some slide guitar, but not knowing much about them or what I needed, I bought brass, ceramic and glass slides.

For my tastes, the glass sounds best. It's nice and clean and doesn't add any non-musical noise to the guitar the way the brass does.

Imagine - metal on metal. It's not pretty. I'm only talking acoustic here, so maybe it's better sounding on electric.

Ceramic is second best in terms of clean sound. But if you want really good sound that doesn't take away from the music coming off your strings, I'd recommend glass.

Get something that doesn't have a lip. I got the one from Dunlop with the big mouth on one end so I can put it on my middle finger, and there's no worrying about it getting stuck, like my others do on my ring finger.
