The SKB GigSafe takes the top 14U+ rack spaces of the Mighty GigRig and puts it in an easier to handle case. The GigSafe includes two large side-mounted handles that allow the load to be balanced when carrying. The lid is extended so XLR cables can remain plugged into your mixer. The GigSafe also includes 4 recessed latches that can be used to secure to the top of the 1SKB-REX6 Expander Rack to provide the same amount of mounting rack units as the Mighty GigRig. With the addition of the 1SKB-R3224 wheel dolly, the SKB GigSafe and Expander can be maneuvered with ease.

The SKB GigSafe takes the top 14U+ rack spaces of the Mighty GigRig and puts it in an easier to handle case. I was looking for a case to carry my Mix Wiz in that wasn't huge. This case fit the mixer perfect and wasn't to heavy or expensive. It allows everybody to be able to plug in their cords in the back with problem. After the gig there is plenty of room to store all the cables for the pa in there too. It is a little awkward for one person to handle, however it can be done. You can't go wrong with skb.

As I mentioned the weight of this case. In comparison to the veneered hardwood cases that would house my Presonus 16.4.2 the weight difference is absurd, not to mention very comparable in price. To me it was worth the investment.
I feel that I studied up on what I was getting here, so as far as the features are concerned it fit the bill as described.
The quality of the case is superb in my honest opinion. The latches are heavy duty and the case itself is superb! The best aspect of the case is it's weight, it is very light. I bought this rack to house my Presonus Studiolive 16.4.2 and it fit perfectly. In fact there is room in the back to see exactly what is needed in order to plug into the appropriate spots on the mixer.
The price on this case is a tad steep. However, you do get what you pay for with it.
