OVERVIEW

Get real, rich tube sound for low-wattage needs.

The timeless design and sound of the all-tube amplifier has made its indelible mark on countless beloved tracks spanning the history of the electric guitar. With the ultimate pursuit of those wonderfully saturated and buttery vintage tones in mind, we proudly present the T5 amplifier.

Sporting a gorgeous look and feel, the T5 serves up 5 beautiful, tube-soaked, Class-A Watts in all your favorite flavors and features our revolutionary INFINIUM Tube Life Multiplier Technology – which not only controls your output tube’s status, but can extend its lifespan by up to 20 times. A built-in 2-way Power Attenuator, allows you to achieve the ultimate sound at any volume, all the way down to 0.1 Watts – and the ultra easy-to-use vintage equalizer (Bass and Treble) will have you dialing up the tone of your dreams.

We topped it all off with a sweet-sounding, high-definition Reverb that lends an air of timelessness to your solo and rhythm parts, and a Phat switch to boost the sound character of your guitar playing even more.

Classic All-Tube Design
The T5 INFINIUM features true Class-A technology with a 12AX7 front-end and an EL84 power stage. A masterful, hand-crafted all-tube amplifier, the T5 provides sweetly-balanced harmonics and natural tube compression, resulting in the warm distortion and break-up you’ve come to love from those vintage megaliths of yesteryear – only in a much more portable and attractive package. The hand-selected 12AX7 preamp tube in T5’s classic ‘60s-era preamp provides everything from sweetly-purring blues to mind-blowing crunch. Often employed in British-style amplifiers, the EL84 output tube is known for its crisp and chiming tonal quality, when pushed to the max, and the T5 harnesses that power via the built-in power attenuator – for the ultimate guitar tone at any volume level.

INFINIUM Tube Life Multiplier Technology
Years in the making, our INFINIUM Tube Life Multiplier Technology can extend the usable lifespan of your amplifi er’s expensive power tubes by up to 20 times, saving you huge money and ensuring the integrity of your tone. How? This revolutionary circuit automatically and continuously monitors the performance of each output tube, and dynamically drives it towards the target operating point, for an evenly distributed load.

INFINIUM also compensates for the effects of aging, automatically adjusting current levels to keep your tubes sounding as good as new – even when AC line voltages drop below nominal levels. Similar technology has been used for decades in all-wheel drive cars, where systems modulate the power going to each wheel to improve traction. Just consider INFINIUM Series amps “4-wheel drive” for your guitar.

INFINIUM Series amps take all the guesswork out of tube replacement by illuminating an LED next to a tube that is reaching the end of its usable lifespan. And thanks to INFINIUM’s Auto-Bias design, you simply replace the indicated tube – without a trip to the repair shop, saving you even more money.

High-Definition Reverb
Adding to its impressive list of tone-shaping options, the T5’s high-definition Reverb puts the perfect finishing touch to your signature sound. Adjustable via the dedicated control on the front panel, you can finally achieve any sound you desire – from a subtle touch to the cavernous, natural-sounding reverberation of a large arena.

Comments about Bugera T5 5W Tube Guitar Amplifier Head:

I've been using this amp almost daily for 3 months (mostly at half volume or higher, P90 pickups). Usually it is turned on for several hours a day, sometimes running idle for a few hours at a time. It has never overheated... no warmer than a fresh cup of coffee. The original tubes are still inside and working nicely. They sound great IMHO, but I suppose a tube upgrade would improve the tones. The amp is plugged into an Ibanez TS112 (1x12" cabinet) loaded with a Warehouse Guitar Speaker et-65 (similar to Celestion Creamback 65) and sounds fabulous. Because the speaker is 8 ohm, the amp is pushing just two and a half watts... still plenty loud enough for a garage band practice or a jam session, or modest-volume gigging. The only thing missing is the low frequency thump that comes from more powerful amps. The tones are still full bodied and satisfying. Gets much louder when the gain is turned beyond the 11 o'clock position or the phat button is engaged. I prefer clean-to-mild distortion, but the overdrive will get hairy if so desired. A five watt amplifier doesn't have enough clean headroom to work well with my Zoom digital multi effects so I use the included reverb, and it sounds nice enough. I haven't tried any other pedals. Headphones sound great also.

My only con is the lack of a selectable speaker output (so it could push the full five watts into an 8 or 16 ohm speaker cabinet). I do love this little amp, and if it continues to work this well for another two years... then I will consider Bugera T5 among the best amps I've played through in the past 50 years (and I have used many... some great, some lousy). This amp is a jolly thrill machine that is very easy to tote anywhere.

This amp rocks. Have it paired with a Celestion 8 inch 30 speaker and it sounds great. It's a home made cabinet. Will try it different cabs as time goes by. Yes I would buy it again.
