One of the most-beloved small combo amps in the world, the Fender Blues Junior IV adds modified preamp circuitry, smoother-sounding spring reverb and improved aesthetics that any player is sure to appreciate. Comments about Fender Blues Junior IV 15W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amplifier:

Buttery smooth. The reverb is natural sounding and not too drippy. I bought a Blues Deluxe Reissue a while back and it's weight and volume were much more than I needed at the time. For the club shows that I was playing, the 60+ pounds was just not worth the haul considering my volume never went past 3. Putting the master and volume knobs to 6 o'clock shook the walls in my house. I paid the same price here on a floor model Blues Deluxe back then.

This is half the weight and all the power. I'm still not maxing the volume out, but I don't need to. The edge of breakup is warm and not nearly as harsh as some of the Jr III's I heard. I own a Les Paul, but I tested this in store with a Tele and it makes me want to pick one up now because as nice as the Les Paul sounds with the Jr IV, it really rips with the Tele's.

Considering I paid the same price for my Blues Deluxe Reissue, I'd rather the Blues Jr IV were a touch cheaper. However, if you haven't updated your arsenal in a long time and are looking at the size and utility that the Jr IV provides, I don't think the price tag should shy you away. It was a decade since I bought my last amp and I was happy to pay full price here.

Comments about Fender Blues Junior IV 15W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amplifier:

Previously I owned a Hot Rod Deluxe and was unhappy with the bottom end and drive. Plus it was too loud for apartment living and overall didn't satisfy. The Blues Junior IV has been an awesome improvement over previous models with a tighter bottom end and smoother breakup while keeping the quality clean tones you want. It is a little bit more, but the cost is reflective in the performance. It is a low distortion but you can really drive it with a distortion or fuzz pedal and keep it at reasonable levels. I stacked both and got a great, aggressive sound from it. The amp really handled it all pretty well. Great job!

Comments about Fender Blues Junior IV 15W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amplifier:

I like the improvements they did but I think Fender has gone to far with this over the top pricing for this amp, I must not be alone in this as I see NO additional reviews from people who have bought this amp, as I guess its not selling all that well, why? you guessed it, Price!

Ive been hearing lots about this amp, it finally showed up at a big music store, I had to demo it, I was actually impressed with the improvements I was told it had, it no longer sounds boxy, the reverb has been nicely improved it doesnt have that farty bottom sound any more as they tightened it up. but they increased the price, so ill wait till they show up used in few months
