Overview

Vintage tube tone reimagined for modern players.

The Gibson Falcon 20 guitar amp brings back the organic sound and feel of vintage tube amps, reimagined with modern features for versatility across stage, studio and practice. Designed in collaboration with boutique amp experts MESA/Boogie, the Falcon 20's single channel lets you go from shimmering cleans to saturated overdrive with the turn of its Volume knob. Its attenuator even lets you dial in crunchy tube tone at lower volumes perfect for home or studio use. With built-in spring reverb and tremolo effects, the Falcon 20 adds dimension and retro vibe to your playing. The amp is handcrafted in the USA at MESA/Boogie's Petaluma, California, shop to Gibson's exacting standards for reliability and great tone gig after gig.

Attenuator Provides Studio-Friendly Volume Control

Thanks to its built-in attenuator, you can reap the benefits of the Falcon 20's organic tube tones even at lower volumes that work for practice, recording and small gigs. The attenuator lets you switch between 12W, 5W or 1W modes with a 6V6 power tubes configuration. Or use 6L6 tubes (sold separately) to access 15W, 6W or 2W. Dial in just the right amount of punch and drive at a volume ideal for your playing situation. Keep tube tone and dynamics without overpowering your bandmates or blowing out your ears during extended practice sessions.

Shape Your Sound With Onboard Reverb and Tremolo

The Gibson Falcon 20 combo amp features built-in reverb and tremolo effects, allowing you to easily add dimension to your tone. Dial in the perfect amount of spring reverb, from a subtle sheen to cavernous echoes. Adjust the speed and intensity of tremolo, from a gentle pulse to a dramatic throb. Use reverb and tremolo together to take your soundscapes even further. The all-analog circuitry ensures these classic effects sound smooth and musical. Both Reverb and Tremolo can be controlled via the included footswitch.

Handcrafted in the USA for Reliability

Gibson partnered with MESA/Boogie founder Randall Smith to design the Falcon 20, then had each amp meticulously crafted at the MESA/Boogie shop in Petaluma, CA. Every component meets Gibson's strict standards for durability and tone. Know that your Falcon 20 will withstand years of gigs, rehearsals and recording sessions while continuing to output organic tube tones inspired by vintage amps but built for today's players.
