OVERVIEW

Ride the verb wave with this versatile reverb that covers all the bases.

Skysurfer Reverb is the one-stop solution to all of your basic reverb needs. Whether you want to dive into deep splashy oceans or ride the ambient airwaves above, Skysurfer lets you do it via its three high-quality reverb algorithms, all housed in a sturdy and compact pedal that won’t break the bank.

No Compromise On Quality
A lot of budget-friendly reverb pedals simply destroy your core tone when the effect is on. Skysurfer doesn’t! Built on a superb studio-quality algorithm, Skysurfer will give you all the lush and transparent reverb sounds you could ever want, without ever compromising your original tone. Finally a reverb pedal that’ll do good things for your wallet and your tone.

Colors In Space
Skysurfer sports three versatile reverb algorithms that’ll add just the perfect amount of color and space around your notes. Spring gives you all the drippy, splashy goodness of an old spring reverb tank, great for a full-on Dick Dale surf attack. Whereas Room and Hall will let you take your tone from earthy and organic to interstellar spaceflight.

Reverb Real Estate
We’re musicians just like you, and we know that it can be an uphill battle to fit all the pedals you want on a pedalboard with limited space. Pro tip: a solid game of Tetris every day will make you a pedalboard planning champ. But to make the game a little easier on you, we decided to put top-mounted I/Os in Skysurfer, so cables won’t rob you of any space where it matters the most.

Backstage Pass – All Access
A sweet trifecta of reverberating tones available in one easy to use pedal. Let’s have a look at the ins and outs of Skysurfer Reverb

Decay For Days
This determines how long the reverb lasts. Set it low for a quick and sweet splash or max it and hang on to the reverberating moment almost forever.

Master The Mix
This controls how loud the reverb is. Set it low for some subtle ambience or crank it for a more obvious and explosive reverb tone.

Take Me To Tone
This controls the amount of high frequencies in the reverberated signal. Go counter-clockwise for a dark and dampened reverb tone, or go fully clockwise for a more intense and bright sound.

Relish In Reverb
Choose between three high-quality reverb algorithms. Spring, Room or Hall.

True To You
Nobody messes with your tone but you. It’s that simple! Hence, Skysurfer sports True Bypass, so when it’s off, it’s really off and has zero impact on your core tone.

I've owned 8 reverb units over the last 30 years. This is a nice one. I just set it on the spring setting at about 8 o'clock and leave it there. Too much reverb sounds like a joke anyway, I grew up w/ spring reverb sounds from Fender amps like Princeton Reverb, Deluxe Reverb, Super and Twin reverb. etc. This won't sound exactly like that, but for the price it gets pretty close. It will work fine for recording/ performing w/o issues. I did notice it sounds different when using a single coil guitar vs. a Humbucker, that's a standard issue. True bypass is great. You can buy with confidence ,but you need to understand it's not like spending major money on a high end unit. I can say , no one will ever say, "hey that's a bad reverb" who will ever notice that.... maybe some super sound studio recording guy with 40 years of studio time ? who cares, plug it in a dial in a setting you like and play and enjoy.

Run through the front of the amp (end of chain) this thing emits more noise than any of my ODs or my Marshall DSL. Quieter in the effects loop, which would have been fine if this weren't the most overbearing effect I've ever used. Knobs turned past 2 or 3 make the effect overpowering and unusable. Even set low this reverb isn't crisp and clean. If you like to make ambient noise, maybe this would be great. But it's a real shame that TC made such a poor product. I'll avoid this entire line in the future.

Can get about any flavor of reverb. I have all 3 knobs at 9 oclock for a nice enhancement that sounds very natural.

Comments about TC Electronic Skysurfer Reverb Effect Pedal:

This is a cool little verb. It definitely strikes me as having a modern sound to it, though it's really very pleasant. I've tried putting it in all different places in my signal chain and with a few different kinds of guitars, and gotta say it sounds the best with a solid body + humbuckers and in the effects loop with the dials all pointing at slightly over 10 o'clock. With that setup you get a really nice subtle ambience underneath your playing. I did not notice it all that much until I turned it off, and then I turned it back on because I missed it instantly! Despite all that, I'm using it with a hollow body mainly, and I noticed that the effect gets washed out quite a bit with the hollow body. I really needed to spend a lot of time with the knobs to get it just right. It's actually quite perfect for the sound and vibe I'm going for though, which is why I'm really happy with it personally. You really can't go wrong with this pedal for the money.

Comments about TC Electronic Skysurfer Reverb Effect Pedal:

I bought this pedal for my elec acoustic guitar, as it does not comes with its own a.c. adapter and I have not any available at the moment, I opened it amp a 9v Batterie! It worked for 5 minutes and then it started making loud static noises! So I returned it and get a new one. The new one got the same problem with the difference that it didn't even work for a second! So definitely I'm gonna returned this week!

Comments about TC Electronic Skysurfer Reverb Effect Pedal:

I normally play thru a Fender Cyber Twin amp with a '63 Fender reissue tank. I use the Skysurfer with a small Fender Mustang 1 amp and it sounds almost as good as the tank. Except for the hum, this pedal is worth every penny. I tried several different cables without success the noise is still there. I would recommended this to a friend, but with a warning about the noise.
