Vintage 1983 MESA/Boogie MK II Tube Guitar Combo Amp

This vintage 1983 Mesa/Boogie Mark IIC 1x12 tube combo amplifier represents a monumental milestone in boutique guitar amplification. Introduced in late 1983, the Mark IIC solved the noisy relay switching of earlier models, delivering a significantly quieter, footswitchable dual-mode preamp design. This legendary compact workhorse combines an array of powerful options—often configured anywhere from a 60-watt powerhouse up to a 100-watt or Simul-Class version—to project immense sound out of its heavy-duty 12-inch speaker. The preamp section features a cascading gain architecture driven by a robust array of 12AX7 tubes, paired with 6L6 or EL34 power tubes to deliver signature West Coast boutique tone. Its front panel features intuitive "pull" switches on the interactive control knobs, allowing players to activate a Bright boost or shift the Treble frequencies to perfectly sculpt the pick attack. Frequently equipped with a built-in tube-driven spring reverb and Mesa/Boogie's iconic five-band graphic EQ, this amplifier offers an incomparable sonic range. It seamlessly transitions from glassy, high-headroom cleans to the tight, liquid-smooth lead saturation that defined the sound of 1980s rock and metal
