Fender's American Standard Jazz Bass V scored a giant bass hit with its introduction in 1960. With its sleek offset body; thin, fast neck and rich, growling tone, it was a raring, roaring racecar of a bass that quickly established itself as a must-have instrument. The new American Standard Jazz Bass V is an even finer instrument; a modern interpretation of a classic built for modern players.

Comments about Fender American Standard Jazz Bass V:
This is THE Fender Jazz Bass, the one that everyone tries to emulate. You can spend thousands more and not get a bass that has a better sound or playability. The fit and finish are perfect, the neck is butter, and the electronics are top notch. In the studio it has grear sustain, deep lows, and sparkling highs. Live it's pure thunder. This is the bass thaTt sets the standard for all others.
Pros
- Well crafted

Comments about Fender American Standard Jazz Bass V:
Overall very well built, the "blemished" classification was no problem: very minor marks here and there. But, for me, the sound was very bland, and I'd prefer a thicker neck, and was surprised that the string spacing was narrower than expected, about 17mm at the bridge.
