Helix LHB5 5-String Fretless Electric Bass

The Lace Helix LHB5 5-String Neck-Through fretless bass is equipped with the revolutionary Alumitone pickup, designed by Jeff Lace.

The Helix LHB5 boats a maple neck, stunning, multi-laminated neck-through construction, mahogany body, dual Alumitone bass pickups, 3-way selector switches and a master switch for volume and tone.

Alumitone pickups are current driven instead of traditional voltage-based pickups, delivering higher fidelity, broadband response for tighter top-end, more mid-range and a huge bottom end. The passive Lace pickup outperforms many active systems, and the sonic output level generally exceeds that of similar preamp equipped basses.

With today's increasing environmental concerns, Lace also wanted to create a lightweight, advanced pickup that doesn't contribute to pollutants caused by discarded batteries. Alumitone pickups eliminate the need for conventional pickups with a preamp and battery, and you aslo lose almost 2 pounds of weight, without compromising output or performance. Lace Alumitone soapbar pickups and data knobs are made in the U.S.A. Installation and setup are completed at the Lace Music factory in Huntington Beach, CA.

The LHB5 Helix bass also includes a custom-fitted Lace Red Label gig bag, which is custom shaped and custom designed for this bass. The gig bag fits your Helix 5-string bass nice and snug, with velco neck strap. Heavy-duty zippers, leather zipper handles, leatherette front pad and end cover, Lace Red Label logo on-body section, and the Lace Helix logo along the neck area and shoulder strap grace the bag. The gig bag's zippered, easy-access front storage pocket has a penholder, a front pocket large enough to fit cables, cellphones, wallets, straps, and your other critical accessories. The Lace gig bag also boasts a larger pouch perfect for sheet music or set lists.
