A solid basswood Boden body with flamed maple veneer, roasted maple EndurNeck, 33"-35" scale configuration and Fishman Fluence Bass 5 pickups provide focused low-end depth with the clarity needed for complex lines, heavy grooves and modern stage work. With EGS Rev2 hardware, BEADG factory tuning and a .strandberg* standard bass gig bag included, it is built for bassists who need five-string range without excess weight.

Five-String Boden Design With Featherweight Balance

The solid basswood body and flamed maple veneer top give the Boden Standard 5 a stable tonal foundation with a modern visual edge across the available Black Metallic and Blue Aura Metallic finishes. Its headless Boden shape helps distribute weight evenly, reducing neck dive and keeping the instrument comfortable through long rehearsals, sets and recording sessions. The 6.6 lb. +/- 10% weight keeps the bass easy to manage without sacrificing stage-ready authority.

Multi-Scale EndurNeck for Low-B Definition

The 33"-35" multi-scale layout gives the low B string added tension while keeping the treble side comfortable for faster lines and chordal movement. A roasted maple EndurNeck with walnut and carbon fiber reinforcement supports long-term stability, while the 20" radius roasted maple fingerboard, 24 stainless steel frets and neutral 7th fret create a smooth technical platform. Original Luminlay green inlays and side dots with black piping keep position reference visible under low stage light.

Fishman Fluence Bass 5 Electronics

Fishman Fluence Bass 5 pickups and active electronics give the Boden Standard 5 a wide tonal range with precise articulation across all five strings. The control set includes master volume with push/pull coil-split, pickup balance, bass/treble stack and a 3-way voice selector for shifting between full-range active response, alternate voiced tones and single-coil-style textures. The onboard Fishman Fluence 2-band 3-knob preamp makes it easy to adjust low-end weight and top-end clarity for different rooms, tracks and musical roles.

EGS Rev2 Hardware and Super Long Scale Strings

The EGS Rev2 5-string bass bridge and individual bass string locks provide stable headless performance with clean intonation control and a precise tuning workflow. Black anodized hardware, black knurled aluminum controls and 2.83" bridge string spacing give the bass a refined, functional layout. D'Addario NYXL .045-.130 super long scale strings and BEADG factory tuning make the instrument ready for extended-range bass work right out of the box.

A Modern Five-String Built for Long Sets

The Boden Standard 5 is built for bassists who need low-B authority, active tonal flexibility and an instrument that stays comfortable through demanding sets. It can cover progressive music, modern metal, fusion, pop, worship, studio sessions and technical bass work without feeling oversized or fatiguing.
