Overview
No frets, but a comfortable fit for demanding bassists.
This 5-string fretless bass guitar from Yamaha features a beveled upper edge on the top half of the body and in the cutaways for easier playability. The Alder body is topped with quilted maple and houses two Alnico hum-canceling pickups, and an active preamp with 3-band EQ. Bassists also get a master volume and pan-pot knobs for more tone controls. The 3-piece bolt-on construction maple neck has a rosewood fingerboard with oval mother-of-pearl inlays that run up the fingerboard. The Yamaha bass features a solid brass bridge and black hardware.
