Overview
Release Date:09/18/2015;Notes:It was EMI producer Suvi Raj Grubb who not only effectively "discovered" the young Barenboim for records but also gave him his first chance to conduct an orchestra on record with this cycle of the complete Mozart Piano Concertos, of which this was the first release. The music here was recorded January 1-2, 1967 at Abbey Road Studio No. 1 in London with producer Suvi Raj Grubb and engineers Robert Gooch (with Neville Boyling on No. 20). This album was pressed on 180 gram vinyl to audiophile standards using the original EMI presses by The Vinyl Factory in Hayes, England. Cut at Abbey Road Studios from the original stereo analogue master tapes with the Neumann VMS82 lathe fed an analogue pre-cut signal from a specially adapted Studer A80 tape deck with additional 'advance' playback head, making the cut a totally analogue process. Also features the original album artwork. 180 gram audiophile vinyl.;Special Attributes:180 GRAM VINYL
