Innovative straight mute for tenor trombone.
The All Aluminum Straight Mute by Soulo Mute combines the traditional straight mute sound with a groundbreaking patented aerodynamic shape that improves all of the typical issues associated with straight metal mutes, primary of which are perfect pitch intonation and a free-blowing feel.
It achieves its astonishing pitch accuracy through its physical design in the way it manages airflow through and around the mute. The unique shape allows the air to naturally flow outside the mute, undisturbed by a crimp or any other barrier. On the inside, the air flows into a perfect hemisphere without ever hitting a flat surface, thereby never altering the pitch.
Soulo Mutes use the highest quality hand-spun aluminum in order to achieve the most brilliant straight mute sound possible. Although straight mutes have a reputation of being stuffy and hard to play, the combination of its aerodynamic shape along with its thin but sturdy wall will surprise any trombone player with its easy of play. The Soulo straight mute is the lightest trombone metal straight mute on the market.
- Perfect Pitch, due to its patented Perfect Hemispherical Bottom
- Free-blowing experience, with no air disturbance due to its Aerodynamic design and crimp-free connection
- Brilliant sound, provided by the high quality hand spun aluminum
Soulo Mute is part of the mute arsenal of trombone icons like Conrad Herwig, John Fedchock, Wycliffe Gordon, Andy Martin, Tom Bones Malone, Bill Reichenbach, Tom Garling, Reggie Watkins and many more. Made in the USA.
