A pad that faithfully replicates the experience of playing an acoustic snare.
This dual-zone pad offers mesh-head enthusiasts everything they've asked for: Ultra-quiet play, good rebound, and 100% ddrum tracking. The new firmware introduced by ddrum (versions 1.40 and up) is necessary to take full advantage of this pad. The main trigger mechanism is located under the head on the edge and functions as a "built-in" acoustic trigger. This allows for a true open head with no inteference
in the center from foam, cones, or plates. You can actually see through these pads! The second zone allows for rim shots and when used with the ddrum4SE module does not false trigger like some others on the market. A rubber rim protector is included to silence rim impact sounds and allow your module to make the noise! The heads are a single-ply mesh. The
trigger mechanism is protected by a guard connected to a tension lug. There are 2 XLR outputs on this pad and 2 XLR-1/4" cables are
included. This pad will perform best when used with the ddrum4SE module, but it's compatible with most others. Please call us with any compatibility questions you may have.
