Performance Series Birch Snare Drum

The DW Performance Series Birch snare drum combines the latest grain-orientation technology and hand-selected birch with a proprietary 12-ply HVX shell to deliver a wide range of crisp tones. It has a full and fat fundamental, and all the projection and articulation you’d expect from birch to perform perfectly for both live and studio performances. Like all Performance Series drums, it is crafted in the USA, and is fitted with 3 mm triple flanged hoops, Drum Workshop’s patented MAG throw-off and 3-position Butt Plate, plus True Pitch tension rods. The MAG is DW’s workhorse drop style throw-off with a smooth, easy-adjust action. The innovative 3P Butt Plate is a pro favorite, allowing you to easily toggle between three different levels of strainer tension easily and accurately. True Pitch tension rods give you 20% more threads than a standard rod resulting in a more exact tuning experience. The Performance Series Birch snare is a Guitar Center exclusive.
