Meet your next drum set, the all-maple Pro M. Thin maple shells are finished in a wide choice of high-gloss lacquered colors that will keep Pro M looking great for years to come.

Each Pro M set comes with a full complement of double-braced Mapex hardware and when you buy the drum kit, you get the cat--a free maple and cherry black panther snare drum--in an exclusive new 6" x 13" size. Pro M Series snare drums also sport a 20-split-lug design for greater tuning precision and a sleek, contemporary look. You now have more reasons than ever to get behind a Mapex Pro M.

Mapex's low-mass lugs are secured to the shell via only one point of penetration. Fewer holes in the drum shell means less vibratory interruption, resulting in truer tone and unimpeded resonance.

The bass drum's non-penetrating I.T.S. double tom holder isolates the bass drum shell from any vibration from the tom toms. The tom's mount is secured via the lugs and is not drilled directly into the shell. The Mapex I.T.S. System allows the shell to vibrate freely, allowing for maximum projection and resonance.

Toms and snares are equipped with exclusive Mapex Powerhoops. Made from 2.3mm chrome steel, the Mapex Powerhoop provides flex resistance without adding unnecessary weight that may mute the drum.

Pro M sets also come equipped with Remo drum heads and an instructional DVD hosted by Mapex international clinician Dom Famularo.

I bought this kit two years ago and have been giging with it every since. The bass drum sound is huge!! I really enjoy playing this kit and it has been very good to me. My only complaint is the floor tom mounts are a pain. I would much rather have floor toms with legs . Other than that, it is a nice kit.

I got this kit used, and I couldn't be happier. I have the vanilla cream pearl finish and it looks great. The shells are high quality and just sound amazing with the right drumheads. I recommend this kit to anyone who is willing to save up for and incredible kit.

    The reason I play Mapex

    By Steve Anderson

Well I got these drums about two weeks ago (the day before our gig) unboxed them and put them together. As I put them together I inspected each drum very carefully, and to this day have not found one flaw. The heads were never used instead I used Evans G2 coated on the batter and the factory on the res. side. Showed up at the gig and everybody was blown away at the site of these things (Carmel Fade enough said). The show began and it was then I realized why I play Mapex Drums. The sound was unreal crisp, warm, and very focused. Even after a 4 hr show these drums showed no signs of tuning loss. My old Mapex Mars Pro kit sounds good, but these are far better. With twenty years of playing I've played and owned alot of different kits and none of them stand up to the all around quality and sound of these drums. Now I no why I would always go back to my old kit. As far as the free 13x6 cherry/maple Black Panther snare-------WOW.
