Comments about Meinl Foot Tambourine Steel Jingles:

The stretch band is too tight for my foot, so an adjustable velcro strap would be far more comfortable, but considering the price and the quality of construction of the instrument, it is a very good deal. I was concerned that any time I moved my foot, the sound would occur, but that's not the case. You've got to shake or stomp to obtain the tambourine sound which is very good, as I'm using both hands already and my other foot. Well made product, just needs an adjustable strap, IMO.

It does have a good bright clean sound. I am wondering if the attachment of the elastic strap will hold up, it looks like it is just stapled on there. So far so good. I am already thinking about how I will fix it if the elastic strap comes off.

The strap should be adjustable. It will break sooner than later (the strap that is).

Wanted to add something a little extra to my venues other than a stomp box & one-shot. This little thing is a lot of fun!

It made it through one song and then the jingles started falling out. I had to gaff tape it to make it through the gig. This foot tambourine sounds better than the others out there but it doesn't hold up at all.

At about the 15 minute mark of using this thing I had metal discs rolling around the floor. One of the pins holding the jingles pulled out. It would cost more to send it back so I'll just put it back together. Don't waste your money.

Comments about Meinl Foot Tambourine Steel Jingles:

It is a uniquely made percussion effect, easily slips on your foot! No percussion mount, no pedal, no nothing else! Goes where you go, and easily comes off, as it is to put on! Still can be played by hand, if preferred. Sound wise; Its LOUD! Cuts right through sound, really cutting, nice SOLID(not bright) accent. But is flat, no, to nearly none, tone, sounds like jingle bells ALMOST! can be a advantage though! This is perfect if your into doing a gig with some people, or wanting to do a street jam. I have no problem recording with it. its a GOOD LOUD SOUND!
