Comments about RhythmTech Solo Tambourine:
I took a chance on this tambourine given the inexpensive price. You get what you pay for. At best, this is a toy. It has a very thin, flat sound. I recommend spending a little extra money. You'll be disappointed if you purchase this.
Comments about RhythmTech Solo Tambourine:
This is a loud, single row tambourine for a cheap price. The first one I've purchased. I bought it for use in my church for one of the vocalists. We have a very small church and it seems really loud so we use it sparingly. But it's not so loud that it's a distraction during worship. The curved handle is nice, easy to hold.
If I buy another one, I think I might try one made of wood.
Made of plastic. Seems sturdy.
I usually go middle of the road when purchasing. I don't buy the cheapest because you get what you paid for, but I don't buy the most expensive because I can't afford it. This was a decent price and worth the money.
Comments about RhythmTech Solo Tambourine:
I was attracted to the price but quickly learn on the gig that this tambourine was too light in weight to play properly. The weight helps the motion while playing which is lacking in Rhythm Tech Solo Tambourine. Perhaps if Rhythm Tech consider adding weight in the area of the jingles it would improve the playability of this tambourine,

Comments about RhythmTech Solo Tambourine:
I bought this for a co worker at the office. She wanted to be part of the band but could not play any instruments. She can now sing, dance and make music! It is light weight and fairly loud when striking it hard. Controlling how loud a tambourine is up to the user. The size is perfect for a beginner, and the color adds fun and beauty to the piece. Looking for an introductory tambourine for your music, I recommend starting with this one. You can always buy a more expensive tambourine when your looking for textures and bigger sounds to flavor your music.

Comments about RhythmTech Solo Tambourine:
I'm a fan of rhythm tech products and this does not disappoint. While others have pointed out the aesthetic flaws such as the gaudy colors and the "thin" sound, these are minor points.
The truth of the matter is that any single-row tambourine will sound "thin" compared to a double-row tambourine--whether it's made from wood or plastic. What they really mean is that it isn't as loud. This is a good tambourine to have for a more subtle tambourine sound. The handle makes it easier to hang onto than a perfectly round tambourine.
