OVERVIEW

The next generation of reduced volume cymbals, the Gen16 Buffed Bronze series.

Using the knowledge gained from the original Gen16 nickel-plated cymbal, the craftsmen at Zildjian used their knowledge and rich design history to improve the sound and performance of the Gen16 reduced volume acoustic cymbal. Additionally, the Buffed Bronze finish is stunning and helps to produce a warmer tone than the original Gen16 nickel-plated cymbal.

Comments about Zildjian Gen16 Buffed Bronze Ride Cymbal:

I bought this cymbal to go with the 13", 16", 18" (368 DS) box set that I bought at the same time. It's a great addition and I like using this 20" as my ride cymbal in my set up rather than the 18". But that's just a personal preference. I spent about an hour tweaking the cymbal when I first got it. By tweaking I mean moving the pickup around to see where it sounded the best to me. I ending up putting the pickup in the row of holes closest to the center of the cymbal and I also placed one damper in the middle of the "e" on the logo. This cymbal sounds and feels so much better than a rubber pad!
