For years, effects pedals have been an important part of the stage musician's toolkit. For some of us, though, there's more to effects than stompboxes alone. The beginnings of TC Electronic can be traced to Denmark. That's where Kim and John Rishøj, brothers and musicians, first began tinkering with pedals in the 1980s. Their breakout effects unit was the Stereo Chorus + Pitch Modulator & Flanger, which turned out to be so popular that it's enjoyed decades in the spotlight. Other effects pedals were soon to follow, building up a stellar reputation for great sound quality that TC Electronic is still known by today.

One of the most well-known musicians to put TC Electronic to the test onstage is John Petrucci. Their pedals have been on his board from the early '90s right up to today, and that relationship is what led to his Dreamscape being produced as TC's first signature pedal. This stompbox is a great example of the power of TC's TonePrint system, which gives you an amazing degree of customization since you can freely download new TonePrints to fine-tune the sound of the pedal.
