Hi!Hummm? This review is a bit tough. I am TOTALLY new to the Mountain Dulcimer. This is my first one. I am trying it out after listening to much dulcimer music. And less then amazing success with the guitar.I own a Martin guitar. So I guess on some level I can tell a quality instrument. I am also an Engineer for whatever that is worth. Here goes... It is a very pretty instrument. The finish is nice. The glare on the photos online don't really do it justice. Its smoother then that. There were some wood splinters left on the sound holes that should have been removed. 10 secs of sanding in production would do it... I tuned it DAA. Mostly because Of my beginners book. Seems to hold the tuning pretty good even with new strings. Over all I would say it is a pretty good quality instrument. It smells good too... =o) Still not up to the smell of a Martin but not much is. Interesting... I was able to play two tunes right away. That was new, I struggle with the guitar. Not the best review ever Huh? =o) I hope it helps you on some level. Overall I would say it is worth the money. Just had it 2 days though.Bye!
