Overview

Bold sound that brings out the best in solo singer-songwriter performances.

The Legacy Concert features the two tonewoods often associated with the award-winning Breedlove voice: Indian rosewood and redwood. In Breedlove's Concert body shape, this combination offers fullness, significant sustain, tonal balance, and ample note-for-note articulation with nothing more than a light touch.

Body
The Concert is Breedlove's most popular body shape, favored by players because it's well-balanced, compact, comfortable to play, and offers all the qualities of a great sounding guitar. It generates a wonderfully articulate range of tone with an ample low end that is never boomy, but always felt. The Concert works well when played fingerstyle, as vocal accompaniment, or at a full strum.

Top Wood
Redwood is a dark, beautiful top wood favored by fingerstyle players who appreciate clear upper harmonic content.

Back and Side Wood
Indian rosewood has been the standard rosewood choice for decades. It is often associated with the great dreadnoughts, and is an amazingly neutral wood. It is good for many styles and takes its personality from the player. Well-balanced lows, mids, and highs make it a natural for many styles.

Graduated Top
Because no two tops are exactly the same, their graduation process allows them to get the most response from the guitar's top while retaining structural integrity. Once Breedlove selects the perfect top wood for a specific instrument, they evaluate each and every top for flexibility, and then graduate each piece of wood, so it is slightly thinner on the bass side. The amount of graduation is customized for each individual instrument, dependent on the relative stiffness of the top. This process essentially makes every Breedlove a one-of-kind. Knowing your Breedlove was built with this intentional care and discernment, you can rest assured that the instrument is performing at its highest potential, and focus on what you do best: creating, expressing, and getting the most out of your music.

Breedlove Bridge Truss
For centuries, one of the most difficult components of crafting guitars has been relieving the stress on the bridge without overbuilding the top and dampening sound. Originally invented over 20 years ago, the Breedlove Bridge Truss is still one of the most innovative truss systems on the market today. Refined and improved over the years, the Breedlove Bridge Truss relieves stress on the top, allowing use of a thinner, graduated top, providing for greater sustain and balance, more expression from the instrument, and greater structural integrity all while adding longevity to the instrument.

Neck
Breedlove's secret to great neck feel is hands-on sculpting. After basic machining, each Breedlove neck goes through a comprehensive, build and finish process, starting with the hand shaping of each and every neck. Next, the perfectly sculpted neck heads into the finish process where it receives a wash coat and sealer. Then, over a three-day period, multiple finish coats are applied, and the neck is level sanded. In the final stage, they perfect the finish by hand-buffing it and rubbing it down to achieve exactly the right thickness for perfect action and playability.
