Overview

This Breedlove is crafted for heavy play style and made from Pacific Northwest myrtlewood.

The Oregon Concerto Cinnamon Burst CE Myrtlewood–Myrtlewood is a body size larger than the award-winning Concert model, delivering more projection from the larger Concerto body shape. Engineered for heavy play style, this acoustic-electric guitar has become a favorite of players around the world. The Breedlove sound comes through bold and clean with balanced bass, mids and highs reminiscent of a mix of rosewood and maple. A soft cutaway provides access to the entire ebony fretboard. It’s equipped with LR Baggs EAS VTC electronics and comes with a deluxe Breedlove hardshell case.

Sustainable & Clear-Cut Free

Breedlove uses no clear-cut woods in its Made in Bend models. It’s that’s simple. These models feature sustainably sourced all-solid exotic and native tonewoods handcrafted by skilled luthiers who are as sensitive to the needs of the Earth as they are to building the best-sounding and playing guitars available anywhere.

Concerto Body Shape

Loud, textured and supremely satisfying, Breedlove’s proprietary Concerto delivers more volume and more nuance than the standard classic dreadnought. Breedlove’s largest body shape retains trademark Breedlove playing comfort while summoning a lush, complex tonal response.

Myrtlewood Top, Back & Sides

Popularized by Breedlove, myrtlewood, from the windblown Oregon coast, combines the best elements of rosewood, mahogany and maple—rich bass, warm midrange and clear, bright trebles—for truly versatile guitars. Each sonically distinct instrument is individualized by the gnarled, wildly varied, but always arresting grain patterns.

Sound Optimization & Hand Voicing

Why do Breedlove guitars sound so good? It’s simple, Breedlove guitars are made with care, with the goal of allowing you to play better, sound better and play more. But it’s also complex, with art, inspiration, craft and science merging together in a process Breedlove calls Sound Optimization. These models are hand voiced, with experienced luthiers meticulously tapping, listening and shaving away tiny curls of exquisite tonewood as they target specific, measurable frequencies that will make each unique, individual instrument sound its very best. The tonewood species are carefully milled, weighed and considered, with backs and tops specifically tuned to each other to create light, responsive guitars with superior tone and sustain.

The Breedlove Neck

Breedlove guitar necks feature a slimmer neck profile, which enables comfortable play, even with smaller hands. Unlike traditional dovetail neck joints that require major surgery for a neck reset, it is easy to adjust the play action and neck angle with the Breedlove bolt-on neck and single-action truss rod. The hand-rubbed, semi-gloss Breedlove neck finish contributes to ideal playability – the finish process alone takes three days, including precise finish coat applications, fine sanding, and hand buffing and rubbing.

About the Oregon Myrtlewood Series

With its hypnotic, variegated color patterns and unique sonic clarity, melding, somehow, the best aspects of rosewood, mahogany and maple, myrtlewood would qualify as one of the great exotic tonewoods. But it’s native, and grows—gnarled, strong and beautiful—on Oregon’s rainy, windswept Pacific coast, just 90 miles from Bend. Breedlove, in fact, led the charge in using myrtle for fine guitars, and that lineage continues with the Oregon series. Denser than Sitka spruce, myrtlewood—as a result of Sound Optimization—can be planed and sanded even thinner, releasing more energy for a balanced profile alive with bass, midrange and treble in equal measure.
