A big, killer guitar with a little, harmless pricetag.

The Dean V with Matching Headstock features a maple, C-shape neck and a rosewood fretboard. A string-thru bridge keeps your tone alive throughout the guitar's entire body. 22 fast frets facilitate wicked, shredding solos and lightning quick chord changes. 2 humbuckers with 3-way switching, volume and tone control keep things simple, yet tonally flexible.

Being a Dean, the V looks as good as it sounds. The large, famous Dean headstock almost mirrors the V body, an illusion enhanced by the matching finish.

Nice Guitar for price

By Thrash-9IDIs

from Maine

I've had this guitar for about three months now and thing plays great. The Guitar is well put together and sounds nice even on my Crappy Lanny Amp. The features are low quality but thats what you get with a guitar this price. It's great for a beginner or anyone who doesn't want to dump a lot of money into a single guitar. The only problem is the strings rattle a little of the board but other than that its fine. I love it.-

Great Axe for a Great Price

By baSSballZ360

from Holdenville, OK

I bought this guitar with only mild expectations. (I had heard bad things about Deans) But when I recieved my V, I was very impressed! The stock pickups sound great clean and thru the Digitech grunge pedal. The strings were OK but I plan to replace them with some GHS's. The only problem I found was with action. The fretboard buzzed at 2 & 3 frets on the E, A, & D. TIP: unless you know what you are doing, don't mess with the trussrod. I tried, and it took like two weeks of painful adjustment to to get it right, so just get it fixed at a music store if yours buzzes. I doubt I will buy another guitar for a long time because this one rocks hard.

Great value

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

I have played this guitar a ton and it has got to have one of the fastest necks i have ever played. Also, if you put it through a good Line 6 amp, the distortion is great. And, for the price of the guitar, the pickups are amazing. However the strings do not stay in tune no matter which strings or how many turns on the knobs!

Everyone should get a V

Everyone should get a V. But the Dean version is probably better than others. Classic V shape, High note frets easy to get to, great hardware and just great. I love the way a V just fits right when ya stand up and rock out. Of course this is not a sit down guitar, it's meant to rock out standing. Only thing I changed were pickups, which is an easy fix with affordable guitars. Like I say though the hardware (tuners, bridge etc.) are good quality. Classic V and fun to play!

Very nice with a little work

from El Paso TX

After some truss rod adjustments and messing with the bridge I can say it is one of the best guitars I've used in its price range. I'll admit the craftsmanship isn't very good(it came with paint cracks on the neck). The jack also wasn't drilled in right and got ripped right off when someone tripped on my cord. Still after a little work it has great action and playability, about the same as my friends $2,000 jackson kelly. It sounds good through almost any amp and works for any kind of music. It is also great for shows considering how well it balances and how light it is, not to mention it looks sick.

a great guitar for not a lot of $

I own 2 other Deans and a Epi Les Paul I bought this guitar so I could put thicker strings and tune down and I love this v. I still like the neck better on my Razorback and Paul but it still has a fast neck and good action. The stock pick ups sound decent and I really like how the v feels when playing standing up. Overall a great buy.

Nice Guitar!

By GuitarIsNothingButTheBest

from New England

I bought this at least two weeks ago. It is the best purchase to make. I was planning on buying the Epiphone Ebony Explorer. I ended up buying this Dean and a Line 6 amp. Best decision I ever made. If your looking for an amazing guitar at a low price, buy this now!

One sick V

By Spike-05LBy

from Brighton MI

I bought this beast a while ago, and put some 13 gauge light baritone strings on it (I play in low B and drop A in my band) and this thing takes it like a pro. The paint job is just amazing, and the pickups are pretty good, and the overall tone was just insane, as to be expected of a dean string through body guitar, but overall, just one bad a** monster. I would highly recommend this instrument to anyone looking for a solid string though body as a 2nd or 3rd instrument.

Possibly one of the best guitars built for Metal!

By C.Goodwin1993

from Madison, IN

I got my V for Christmas, and I haven't even touched my three other guitars at all. I love the neck on this thing, it's so fast! The bridge is great on it, and is easy to use if you usually play Les Pauls or Explorers. The stock pickups are awesome! The recommended strings to put on this thing are 10-52 or 10-46, this guitar sounds so much better through Line 6's or any other amp that has MASSIVE amounts of distortion for Metal.

For all u rockers out their buy this NOW!!!

By Dean4Life-aDQ7y

from A small town, legend to some, myth to most.

This is an amazing guitar. I got it last summer and it's a killer guitar, I feel so high and mighty when I play it. It comes in pretty close to tune, but you'll need to buy a case when you buy this. It's still awesome, though, buy it if you're thinking on it.
