Don't Forget

Thin body with versatile electrics and style to spare.

In alliance with Joe Walsh, Duesenberg developed an instrument that not only meets Joeʼs requirements for tone, looks and playability, but which is aimed to also fit the taste of many other guitar players out there.

The instrument features numerous different details connected to Joeʼs style or history. The fretboard inlays spell his name in morsecode, referencing his passion for radio operation.

Being a serious guitarhead himself, he also likes to mess around with the hardware of his guitars, often resulting in weird hardware finish mixes, so for this reason the hardware of the Alliance Joe Walsh is a mix of nickel and gold.

The instrument will be available in a beautiful classic Gold Burst or solid Black finish. According to the main colour, the instrument has a Fullerton Elite Style headstock front in either Gold Burst/Brown or Black/Pearloid.

The Tibetan Knot on the top between both pickups is a symbol of very personal meaning to Joe which he also carries as a tattoo. The guitar features a thin body profile measuring only 3.5cm/1.37, a regular Duesenberg mid D profile Neck and medium Jumbo frets.

A Duesenberg Little Toaster pickup delivers transparent treble tone in the bridge position and the state-of-the-art noise-cancelling Duesenberg SingleTwin Singlecoil gives clear classic neck sounds in any situation. The guitars are equipped with our own Radiator Tremolo, which are customized with a golden grill. Includes hardshell case.

Comments about Duesenberg USA Alliance Joe Walsh Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

First thing to understand is it's not a Fender, or Gibson, or Gretsch; so you shouldn't look at it as a comparison between the standards. It is it's own thing; tone, neck, the way it hangs from your shoulders, the way it plays, and fits in your hands...its different. That said, it's fantastic. Every part looks like it was painstakingly crafted. The tuners feel great, the tremolo is really smooth. The action on mine was really low. I raised it a little to help catch the pads of my fingers a little better for bends. fretwork is nice, nut was just flawless. String through will make string changes much easier than the standard Bigsby. This has an upper mid type tone that will punch through a mix. Its a chord monster, there is some magic happening when you ring out a chord of any kind. Hard to describe but very full and rich chords. The only thing that I am struggling with is the Morse code on the neck. It throws me off for position and I realize now how much I rely on those dots (they are on the side of the neck on this one) that will take some getting used to. Overall, very happy. This one was purchased scratch and dent. Spoke with Duesenberg, they will send me the replacement part that was damaged. So customer service is another plus with this one. All they wanted was a photo, a serial number and my mailing address. Very Happy.
