OVERVIEW

Compact size, vintage vibe and a sporty finish.

The Wildkat Red Royale Hollowbody Electric Guitar has the same traditional f-hole archtop design as the popular Epiphone Wildkat series, but with the look of a customized finish. It's larger in size than a Les Paul, yet smaller than a DOT 335. The mahogany body has a laminated maple top with a classy red finish adorned with chrome hardware, while the hard maple neck is topped with a rosewood fretboard. The Bigsby trem adds to its classy appearance and the two alnico P-90 single-coil pickups crank out monster tone. Case sold separately.

Comments about Epiphone Wildkat Red Royale Hollowbody Electric Guitar:

I LOVE this guitar! Not only is it a beautiful shade of sparkly red, but it plays great too! It also sounds creepy COOL with my effect pedal, which gives it that extra twangy, surfy, reverb sound that I love to use with my music and when I'm recording. If you're thinking of getting something that looks and sounds great, but isn't too expensive, then this is a great choice!

Comments about Epiphone Wildkat Red Royale Hollowbody Electric Guitar:

Love this guitar played well out of the box but with some minor adjustment she plays like a dream. The finish is a little darker than I expected but she is still a nice little guitar for the price. I don't have the tuning issues other people complain about with the bigsby but, I have a bigsby on all of my guitars and have never noticed that problem so maybe I am biased. Over all a sweet lil' guitar.

Comments about Epiphone Wildkat Red Royale Hollowbody Electric Guitar:

This was on sale when I bought it.. Completely blows me away how well this plays right out of the box. I've been playing for almost 50 years and have been doing my own setup work for almost as long and actually look forward to getting a new guitar and tweaking it to play it's best. This guitar needed nothing so I have been able to dig in and play. Even the bigsby is solid.. I don't use it much, I prefer to get vibrato from my fretting hand but absolutely no running issues..

I love the P90's, I believe they've upgraded them for the WildKat Red Royale. I haven't played this guitar out yet but don't expect any issues at stage volume.. Right now I keep it out on the couch so I can noodle around without plugging in which is great.. Sometimes I just can't hear what I'm playing when I play a solid body guitar in the living room but this is perfect. Much more comfortable than my Casino or DOT for noodling on the couch.
