Based on the original guitar designed by the legendary George Lynch of Dokken and Lynch Mob.
This limited edition ESP George Lynch 20th Anniversary GL-20 guitar features a maple neck and maple body. All this maple is no accident. An extremely popular tonewood, maple is known for its brightness and clarity. It's especially great for soloists who want note definition. The neck is the original George Lynch neck shape he designed in 1987, enhanced by 22 extra jumbo frets on the ebony fretboard.
The bridge pickup is a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates, with a late '50s, vintage-correct, humbucker sound. Warm and crystalline clean tones, full and bright distorted tones and smooth sustain. A Screamin' Demon Jr., designed specifically for George Lynch by Seymour Duncan, resides at the neck position. This li'l savage combines a big, open sound with just a subtle hint of "glass." The tone is big and percussive without being too harsh.
A genuine Floyd Rose tremolo system with locking nut combined with Gotoh tuners ensure you can dive bomb all night and keep your intonation intact. Controls include a single volume knob with a push-pull pickup select and a kill switch. The maple body sports a Kamikaze Graphic with mother of pearl images of Kanji and Bombs.
Thousands of players have been inspired by George Lynch's genre-defining abilities; ESP hopes to inspire these players to perform at their highest levels when they pick up their ESPs.
"Twenty years ago, I found the guitar that fit everything I'd ever wanted to accomplish as a guitarist; the tone, looks, and feel of an ESP are what has defined rock as we know it today. Here I am, twenty years later, and still loving ESP.
