I GOT IT!!

By Yamil 12

from Radcliff, KY

Have this guitar for about a month and this guitar is awesome. The looks, the feel it's great. I needed a second guitar to play on stage and this is definitely a guitar you can count on. The only thing is good luck with getting a gigbag or a case for it. I ended up using a cello gigbag for it, who cares!!! this guitar it's great. I got a dean noir xl mt and a sg epiphone and this one it's a grezt addition to my set up.

ESP LTD V-200

By DethklokFan360

Great for playing metal, rock, prog, southern rock, and even bluesy stuff as well. Turning the neck pickup volume down to 0 makes the 3-way pickup selector a great kill switch.

Amazing for metal...classic or current!

I play a fairly diverse range of metal music...from Metallica and Pantera to nu-metal bands like System Of A Down and metalcore like Killswitch Engage or Avenged Sevenfold. I compare heavy guitar tones to guns: One could be machine-gun like, and the other could be like a cannon. This guitar is more of the cannon variety, but it still performs well in the lower strings. Soloing and slow power chord riffs both sound fantastic! All in all if you're looking for a great guitar for metal, or if you like the bands I listed, or if you just want a guitar that can rock the house down, this one will definitely do the job!

great

i got this guitar today and i love it. although it is difficult to play sitting down, pulling off the power stance isn't too difficult, and it also looks better. i really like the neck also, because it's really fast. i think if you're looking for a good metal guitar this is a really great way to go.

I do not own this guitar but i have played one at a store a i found one and played it. it played great the pick ups are good but it could use some emgs its not really a guitar you could sit down with and play because of the v shape to it. but over all this guitar is the best. im going to try to buy it.

Awosome..

By XxGodXGivenxX

i went to my local music store looking for a good metal guitar. i really wanted the ec 1000 but that was way out of my price range. i found this guitar in the back and at first i did not want to play it beacuse it is a v. i dont care for them. but after a looking at the guitars this store had i kept coming back to this guitar. so i said might as well play it. This guitar blew my mind. it plays fast and is great for solos and any other style you can play. after playing this guitar for about 30 minuets i had to get it. ive had it for a month and it is awesome. the only thing i dont like about it is it only has 3 controls. but i soon got over that with the amazing sound this thing can produce. it can hit pinch and natural harmonics like a dream. this guitar is as good as some that cost a few hundred more. for the price you can not go wrong. get it.

Scorchin' Axe!

By Rockin'WithTheESP

from Wheeling, WV

This guitar is great for just about everything. The LH-300's give great clean, sorta jazzy tones, but they can really scream! The Basswood body is very light, but not so light that you feel like you are playing with a toy. Quality of craftsmanship is unbeatable. If you're thinking about buying this guitar, buy it. It WILL meet your every demand. ESP has never let me down and they won't let you down!

great guitar

By toxicted

I bought the left handed version and love it. I have a Gibson Flying V as well, and intended this as a back up, but I find myself turninhg to the V-200 more and more. Great guitar for the price and I like the longer neck.

interesting guitar

I tried this guitar at a local shop while shopping around for another guitar. I played this while sitting down on a stool and found it a little awkward (but that's expected from a V guitar) but that was probably the only thing awkward about it. the neck was fast, the pickups were a treat for my ears, and the actual guitar was a beautiul sight to see. the only thing that stopped me from buying that guitar on spot was because i hadn't looked anywhere else

This guitar is awesome! I had it for a couple of months and it's the perfect flying V. I have played on other V shape and this one is far the best ive ever played on. The LH-300 are great, nice clean tone. I'm playing trough a Marshall MG100DFX and a Metal Core ML-2 (Boss) and i can get the sound that i want. If you are thinking about buying this guitar, you should buy it right away!

When I bought this...

My expectations were pretty low. The V-200 is only my second guitar, so I read about what all the guy's I listen to are using, and this matched...none of those things. But I needed a good guitar for a low price, and I love this thing!First off, I love the shape, if you're into V's then you'll have no problems adapting to the sitting. I love that there are two volume knobs on it, so I can get a quick kill if I'm talking or whatever, and it can give a kill button effect. The pickups are better then I expected for stock. They can play just about anything and sound good doing it. The neck is heavier then the body, which is a little draw back, but I've gotten used to it. The neck is nice and thin, really fast for shredding. It's a little on the wider side, which means the case is huge, and you have to be careful in tight spaces. Though I've banged the crap out of this thing on...everything, and there are only paint chips on the edges. So for what you're paying, this is probably one of the best guitars around.

This guitar is HOT.

By WhiteNinja

from Michigan

This guitar is awesome sound wise. It has all of the specs you would expect from a mid to topline axe. The only problem I have with it is the top heavy neck and head it is a little uncomfortable to handle unless you play tight to your body. Which I do not. It takes some getting used to but you cant beat the price and performance...

Great for everyone for all types of music!!

By Anonymous

This guitar is AMAZING!! When you hold this guitar people will definatly watch. The neck is fast so you can shred until you can't shred anymore. Only two minor negative marks, the guitar is a little neck heavy but no big deal its still awesome. The next is the stock PUPS (pick-ups), are lacking something. Don't get me wrong it sounded good out of the box but good isn't enough. So I pucked up some EMG 81 and 85 now it sounds GREAT. GREAT GUITAR ESP THANKS!!!!

love the pickups

By metalhead guitar god

from dothan, alabama

This guitar is the bomb! The pickups sound so good(clean or distorted) that i recommend this to any hardcore metalist. It has a very metal look and feal to it. If you have never used xj frets before then it will take some getting used to. I only had to do one thing to it when i got it, and it was put new strings on. I am in a band that plays metallica songs and kiss so it has some range to it. Well hope you can buy this awesome guitar

Good For the Money.

This is a great guitar. The pickups sound really good, but have a slight jazzy sound to them. The construction seems really durable. Although it is a little awkward playing sitting down, but for the money it is worth it

Killer guitar for metal.

By Schexterxxx

See all my reviews

I'm 14 and i play the heavier group of metal. Right now me and my band Lost Cause have been playing a lot of Arch Enemy and Cradle. This guitar is great for that or any other type music. The LH-300's give it a warm jazzy sound in clean. In my favorite mode, distortion, it gives you a kind of grind sound great for Arch Enemy or Cradle.I recomend hisguitar to all who play metal.

This Guitar is amazing

By xFinnishPridex

Im on a budget, so I decided to go to my local used guitar store. I played this and it was AMAZING!!! The body's a bit thick, but for some reason i felt it was easier to play that way. The neck was fast, and it sounded great through the line 6 amp I was using. Overall, great guitar and worth its salt in the metal battleground.Children of Bodom sounds great through this thing by the way.
