Fender American Professional Telecaster Electric Guitar - Maple Fingerboard, Oxblood

Built on the twang, snap and immediate response that have defined the Telecaster for generations, the refreshed American Professional Telecaster is a thoughtful evolution of Fender’s timeless workhorse formula, adding greater articulation, expanded tonal range and player-focused refinements throughout. Alder and ash body options preserve the familiar Tele foundation, while the Deep C maple neck features smooth rolled fingerboard edges, a newly sculpted heel and Fender’s Super-Natural satin finish for an exceptionally comfortable feel. New V-Mod III Telecaster single-coils sharpen articulation and sensitivity while retaining classic Tele twang and snarl, with push/push series switching adding a fuller, more powerful voice beyond the traditional three-way palette. ClassicGear Precision potentiometers provide smoother, more consistent control, while a new top-load/string-through bridge with compensated brass bullet saddles improves intonation and gives players greater control over string feel and response. Together, these refinements make the Fender American Professional Telecaster more adaptable than ever while preserving the direct, unmistakable character at the heart of the design.

Alder and Ash Preserve the Classic Tele Foundation

The American Professional Telecaster stays rooted in the traditional Fender tonewoods that have shaped the model across generations. Alder bodies accompany 3-Color Sunburst, Oxblood and Black finishes, providing a balanced, responsive foundation with clear definition across the frequency range. Natural, Aged Cherry Burst and Butterscotch Blonde models feature ash bodies for a lively response with crisp articulation and plenty of presence. Both pair with a bolt-on maple neck and 25.5" scale, preserving the immediate attack and familiar feel central to the Telecaster experience. A durable polyurethane finish provides lasting protection for regular stage, studio and rehearsal use.

Refined Deep C Maple Neck Elevates Playing Comfort

Fender’s Deep C maple neck receives several meaningful refinements designed to make the American Pro Telecaster comfortable from the first chord to the highest frets. Smooth rolled fingerboard edges create a naturally broken-in feel, while the new Super-Natural satin urethane finish lets the fretting hand move freely along the back of the neck. A newly sculpted heel provides easier access to the upper register, complementing the 9.5"-radius maple fingerboard and 22 Narrow Tall frets for comfortable chording, clean fretting and expressive bends. A bone nut completes a thoughtfully refined neck designed around the demands of regular playing.

V-Mod III Pickups Expand Classic Tele Twang and Punch

New V-Mod III Telecaster single-coils bring greater articulation and sensitivity to the American Professional while preserving the twang, snap and snarl that define classic Tele tone. The familiar three-way blade provides bridge, bridge-and-neck and neck pickup settings, while a push/push tone control places both pickups in series for a fuller, more powerful combined voice beyond the traditional parallel middle position. Fender’s new ClassicGear Precision potentiometers further refine the electronics with custom torque, precise resistance and a musical taper, giving volume and tone adjustments a smooth, consistent response without complicating the Telecaster’s famously straightforward control layout.

Dual-Loading Bridge Adds Feel, Tone and Intonation Flexibility

The American Professional Telecaster introduces Fender’s most flexible take on the traditional three-saddle bridge, combining top-load and string-through options with new ClassicGear compensated brass bullet saddles. The compensated design improves intonation while retaining the characteristic response of brass saddles, and recessed adjustment screws keep the playing surface comfortable under the picking hand. Players can choose string-through loading for a more traditional Tele setup or top-load the strings to alter tension, feel and response, providing additional ways to tailor the instrument to individual preferences. Staggered Fender sealed die-cast tuners provide dependable tuning performance at the headstock, rounding out a thoughtfully updated hardware package.

A Refined Modern Approach to Fender’s Iconic Workhorse

For more than seven decades, the Telecaster has proven how much musical range can come from a remarkably direct electric guitar design. The latest Fender American Professional Telecaster preserves that simplicity while refining the details working players interact with every day, from the smoother Deep C neck and more articulate V-Mod III pickups to series switching, precision controls and the flexible new bridge. Made in the USA and supplied with a Fender deluxe molded case, it builds on the Telecaster’s legendary reliability with greater comfort, tonal range and adjustability for modern stage and studio demands.
