Impressive volume and tone for such a small body. Pleasantly surprised. Good action and a great feel to the neck. Very hard to put it down. Standard soundhole

Comments about Fender Classic Design Series CP-60S Parlor Acoustic Guitar:

Buy this guitar, you will not be disappointed. I am amazed at how good this guitar is for the low price. I've had it for over a year. It's a small parlor guitar like I wanted but the sound is big for it's size. A lot of it is the wood for the top. Usually for this type of guitar wood the price is going to be double for what it is, and then if you get it on sale, you will not find a better one. I love the neck, the feel. I wanted a kick around guitar for quick ideas so after getting a jim dandy and sending it back because it was too much like a toy, I ordered this one. It does the acoustic blues thing like a jim dandy only sounds a lot louder and better... perfect for a young person or ladies hands, at the same time, I have large hands and it still works! The frets are adequate, not hard to play at all...in fact it's a nice feeling neck. Paint job good, construction details good. By the way I've had several nice guitars that cost 4 times more than this one over the last 40 or so years of playing.

I just pulled it off the wall hanger next to the computer where it's been hanging for months to figure out the end of a Beatle song I was working on and wa la, in tune. This is also after the cat has gotten in to banging on the guitar with her front feet before I can stop her, she likes to play along while I'm playing sometimes.

I will say this is the most bang for the buck I've had in a long time and buying a lot of guitars.

Comments about Fender Classic Design Series CP-60S Parlor Acoustic Guitar:

I played this instrument along with a couple of competitor's parlor guitars in the price range at a local big box music store. This Fender was head and shoulders above the rest. The others (both 12 frets) had the look and feel of toys and a small body sound. The CP60s has a nice tone and responds well to both strumming and finger style. I can't believe the quality, playability and sound of this guitar for this price. It out performs several full dive guitars in the price range. The only reason I didn't buy one at this time was a recent acquisition of another instrument from MF.

Comments about Fender Classic Design Series CP-60S Parlor Acoustic Guitar:

I had played guitar when I was younger but was never very good since I'm a small chick and had a full-sized guitar. I gave up for a few years before picking up the uke about 5 years ago. I finally got to the point on uke where I was tired of not having the two extra strings and a large enough body to have good resonance, but my issue with guitars continues to be how large they are relative to my body. I was concerned as I was looking for smaller guitars that the sound would have that twangy, empty feel to it, but I was incredibly surprised and happy about how this turned out!

The sound from this guitar is full and rich despite it being parlor-sized. I put gypsy jazz strings on it and it helped the action a ton and because of how much I enjoy playing it, I'll be upgrading the tuning pegs, nut, and saddle in the future.

Even as a smaller chick, this guitar fits well against me and I don't feel like I have to strain to get my arms around the body to strum, or down the neck to reach the 1-3 frets. I really do not like high-gloss finishes, so I gently roughed up the finish on the back of the neck and it made it way more palatable for me to play on. Within a month I've relearned a lot of the finger picked songs I knew on uke on guitar and, despite the extra two strings, did so fairly easily because of how well this guitar fits a smaller person.

Make sure you replace the strings when you get it and consider getting the action lowered some, but otherwise this is a phenomenal guitar for the price. If you're looking for a parlor guitar and don't heavily consider this one, you're doing yourself a disservice.

Played this yesterday. I enjoyed playing this guitar. Real nice tone, easy neck and it had a good set up. Beautiful parlor guitar, can't imagine playing something better in this price range.
