OVERVIEW

Ground-breaking pickups, all the pro features and all rosewood neck.

Fender is guided by one clear, simple directive: make life better for musicians. While the original Telecaster certainly did that (and then some), we weren’t content to rest on our laurels. Our team of mad scientists examined every component in near-microscopic detail. If we were able to improve it with a new design or modern materials we did; if it didn’t need improvement, we left it alone. When the wood chips and solder fumes settled, what was left was the American Professional Telecaster—everything you need to play your best.  Now for a limited time available with an all rosewood neck.

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Professional Telecaster with Rosewood Neck:

I spotted one of these beauties hanging up high at my local Guitar Center and it called to me. It was a vision in mint green and chocolate brown that begged me to take it down so I could slide my hands up and down the flawless unfinished rosewood neck. Once I touched it, there was no going back. The instrument had perfect action for bending and sounded more alive and loud than any other solid body I have played. There was a very unique compressed quality to the acoustic tone that really sounded interesting and once I plugged it in, that tone stayed in tact. On the bridge pickup, the light strings rang clear and bright, without the ice pick highs that can be the bane of many Telecaster players, while the low strings yielded a pronounced growl, that is perfect for lead playing. The 1st and second positions are among the most usable of any Tele I have heard and the treble bleed circuit keeps the basic tone intact as the volume is rolled down. I should also note that the alder body of my guitar seemed lighter than most, which definitely helps things sonically on any guitar. Unfortunately there were no others there to compare it with so I have no idea if they all seem this light and sound this well. Perhaps I just lucked out and got a magic one that was made on the right day by the right people who picked the right wood? I will most likely never know as these are a limited edition, and I probably will never see another again. In closing I can say that I have been playing Telecasters for 40 years and this is one of the best. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the polyurethane finish, which although applied thinly and well, would have been better if nitrocellulose were used.

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Professional Telecaster with Rosewood Neck:

Been playing guitar for almost 20 years and if you want something between vintage style frets & jumbo frets, this is it. The frets being tall & narrow may take some time getting use to (for some people) but it helps with vibrato. Small fret buzz which was easily corrected by raising a saddle. The neck is fast and smooth, if you like 60s style slim necks but want a little extra wood, the new Deep C shape feels great. Not for people who are looking for a thick 50s style neck (comes nowhere close).

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Professional Telecaster with Rosewood Neck:

Right from the start the appearance of the guitar started it all. I am a Fender fan especially a Telecaster. I play classic rock, praise and worship and the pickups are awesome, well balanced, you can get tele twang if you want it but the harshness is not there. I play through a Fender Blues Deluxe with several high end overdrive pedals and a line 6 dl4 love my tone and this Telecaster was the finishing touch. Minor set up issues right out of the box but as always MF went above and beyond to make it right.

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Professional Telecaster with Rosewood Neck:

The Rosewood neck is only part of what makes this Telecaster a great guitar. But, there's nothing like the feel of that Rosewood. Really, really nice. And the bridge pickup has really great tone! Just what I was looking for.
