A real shredder's guitar with all the essential features on-board.

The Godin Redline 3 Electric Guitar lets players dive-bomb their way through any performance with the addition of the Floyd Rose Tremolo bridge. The Redline 3 features the modern sound of an active EMG-81 pickup in the bridge and an active EMG-85 in the neck for scorching, high-output tones. Select pickups using the 3-way switch and dial-in different sounds using the tone knob. The humbuckers are housed in a sustain-inducing, string-through, silver leaf maple body with poplar wings. The Godin guitar's 22 fret, rock maple neck with ergocut rosewood or maple fingerboard, is extremely fast and comfortable to play. It has a sleek Redline 3 & 3 headstock, thick black binding, and the stunning high gloss flame tops on color models or a satin, semi-gloss finish on the natural flame model with maple fingerboard.

Amazing Guitar

Comments about Godin Redline 3 Electric Guitar:

I was looking around for some guitars and i saw this hanging on the rack. I had to try it. It looks, sounds and plays great and comes in the simplest to most extravagant combinations (1 pickup, hardtail bridge, vol knob/floyd rose, two pickups) the only exception is the bolt on neck. makes it harder for small hands to reach the high frets. if your looking for a guitar that is simple or has it all for a fair price, buy it.

Awesome, but...

Comments about Godin Redline 3 Electric Guitar:

The EMG pickups are what turned me off this guitar. I've never liked EMG's, and they certainly didn't change my mind in this case. They sound dead and lifeless. They have no character.Otherwise this guitar is EPIC! The playability is awesome! Maple fretboard is fantastic. Floyd Rose could be better, but for a licensed bridge what do you expect? Maybe if I buy this I'll get one of those new Titanium Floyds for it...All in all a fantastic guitar. Just needs to have the pickups replaced. Haha, it'll give me an excuse to try more DiMarzio pickups.

Comments about Godin Redline 3 Electric Guitar:

Overall, the guitar is pretty solid. Some features make me really want to like this guitar. It looks nice. The action is perfect for a shredder. The 16" radius is fantastic for fast single notes. I really love maple fretboards as I own two - Strat and Tele. The FR licensed trem is OK but looks a little cheaply made. Might not last but you can always find a replacement. Now, when it comes to replacements, these EMG pickups are just mush. No definition and certainly no high end at all. If you use the neck pup, you might as well be playing a six string bass. Actually, a bass would probably sound clearer. And that is with my Egnater Rebel EQ'd as bright as it gets. After all the good things I have heard about EMG active pups, I thought I must be going deaf. A/B comparison with Ibanez Super 58s revealed no contest. You could actually hear the notes of a chord with the Ibanez. I think I am either going to have to return this axe or redo the electronics.
