OVERVIEW

An all-walnut multi-scale wonder with cutaway and Fishman/Ibanez electronics for accurate sound transfer during recording and performance.

The AEW40FFCD features multi-scale construction – the longer scale on the lower register provides more articulation and a punchy sound on the low-end; the shorter scale on the higher register contributes to better playing comfort.

The AEW40FFCD is an AE body style acoustic-electric guitar with walnut top back and sides for arresting looks. Electronics on the AEW40FFCD include a Fishman Sonicore pickup and an AEQ-SP2 preamp for complete tone control, 1/4 in. and XLR outputs, plus an onboard tuner for quick, discreet tuning. The bone nut and saddle were chosen for its ability to transfer string vibration naturally. Grover Chrome Die-cast tuners with half moon knobs (18:1 gear ratio) ensure acculate, stable tuning.

AEW Series
As an industry leader in the use of exotic tonewoods, Ibanez continues to innovate with their AEW Series. This fresh approach merges a classic spruce top with an elegant exotic tonewood back and sides. The thinner, amplification-friendly body of these acoustic-electrics make them the perfect choice for gigging singer-songwriters. A "soft" Florentine cutaway provides easy accessibility all the way to the 17th fret. The Fishman Pickup and Ibanez AEQ-SP2 Preamp deliver excellent reproduction and control of tonal characteristics and easy operation, while 1/4 in. and XLR outputs give you options for a variety of direct plug-in applications. The exotic tonewoods give each respective model a distinctive tone and appearance that will garner attention and inspire the imagination. Let yourself be captured by the grandeur of the AEW Series.

Comments about Ibanez AEW40FFCDNT Walnut Multi-Scale Acousitc-Electric Guitar:

A fan fret guitar that's not thousands? Yes please. This is my favorite neck I've ever played on. I can't say enough good things about this guitar. I put a custom pickguard on it and plan and never ever replaces this ax.
