Overview

Electric guitar with 10 versatile pickup voices.

Built in collaboration with German guitarist and educator Martin Miller, the Ibanez MM1 Martin Miller Signature electric guitar reflects the precision, clarity and versatility that define his playing. When your lines move from rapid alternate-picked runs to harmonically dense fusion chords in a single phrase, every detail of the instrument must remain controlled and articulate. To support that level of expression, the MM1 pairs a 4 mm flamed maple top over an African mahogany body with an S-TECH WOOD roasted maple neck and fretboard, delivering warmth, snap and long-term stability. Combined with Seymour Duncan Hyperion humbuckers and Ibanez’s dyna-MIX10 switching system, this model is built for players who need fluid transitions between intricate rhythm work and expressive lead lines.

Flamed Maple Top and S-TECH Roasted Maple Neck

The 4 mm flamed maple top adds clarity and snap to the African mahogany body, balancing warmth with articulate attack. The AZ Oval C neck is crafted from S-TECH WOOD roasted maple, a treatment that enhances stability, durability and resistance to temperature and humidity changes. An oil finish gives the neck a smooth, broken-in feel, while the roasted maple fretboard with abalone dot inlays and Prestige fret edge treatment supports comfort and precision across all 24 jumbo stainless steel frets. It all adds up to an instrument with a foundation built for long sessions and fast, controlled playing.

Seymour Duncan Hyperion Pickups and dyna-MIX10 Switching

The Seymour Duncan Hyperion humbuckers use Alnico V magnets and moderate output to preserve pick attack and note clarity under gain. Designed to maintain definition across the frequency spectrum, they respond evenly from treble to bass, making them ideal for articulate chord work and high-speed melodic phrasing. The dyna-MIX10 system with Alter Switch provides ten tonal variations, including humbucker and convincing single-coil-style voices via Power Tap mode. This allows the MM1 to move seamlessly between session-clean sparkle, tight fusion rhythm and saturated lead tones.

Gotoh T1802 Tremolo and Magnum Lock Tuners

The Gotoh T1802 tremolo bridge features machined titanium saddles and a steel tremolo block for quick response, strong low end and extended high-frequency detail. Its 10.5 mm string spacing supports precise picking, and the snap-in tremolo arm design simplifies setup. Paired with Gotoh Magnum Lock machine heads with H.A.P. adjustable posts, the system maintains tuning stability even during expressive vibrato or aggressive tremolo use.

Refined Appointments and Performance-Focused Details

Luminlay side dots improve visibility on dark stages, and the oil-impregnated bone nut enhances tuning stability and resonance. Chrome hardware complements the flamed maple top, and a hardshell case is included for protection during travel. Every detail—from the Prestige fret edge treatment to the maple-and-mahogany pairing—reinforces the MM1’s identity as a modern, precision-built instrument.

Built With Martin Miller for Modern Fusion Expression

Martin Miller’s playing lives at the intersection of technical control and melodic freedom, and the MM1 electric guitar was designed to support that balance. It’s a guitar for players who move between intricate harmony and high-gain lead work without changing instruments—players who value clarity under compression and expect their technique to translate exactly as intended. If your style leans toward articulate fusion phrasing, dynamic session work or precision-driven modern rock, the Ibanez MM1 is built to stay transparent and responsive while your ideas take the lead.
