Comments about Ibanez RG6003FM Electric Guitar:

This is one hell of a guitar, if you like the ibanez style of guitars. I have recently changed my playing style dramatically and have been looking for a cheaper guitar to really beat up on practicing. I bought a used Ibanez as 73, but returned it a week after I bought it. Then I walked into the shop and saw this puppy on the wall. After playing it for thrity minutes I was hooked. Its a great buy if you like the ibanez style neck. Rosewood fretboard, nice ebony body, no tremelo (what is the point of putting a cheap tremelo on a guitar like this anyway), and a really nice flame maple top. These pictures do not do it justice but man is it beautiful.

Comments about Ibanez RG6003FM Electric Guitar:

So I picked one up at the geetar center today, and the funny thing was, I had a buncha stuff I traded in, so anywho I sat there in the busy, busy store, I sat there playing it for an hour before they were able to get to me, and by the time they got to me, I was in love! I love rg's, especially with the Floyd style bridges, but the set bridge, and string through body sound is good! The pickups, I have to get used to a bit more before I decide if I like them totally or not, but the neck, as always, is where it's at! Change the junk d'adario strings that are on there for........ Anything else! But throw a set of 9 gauges on it and fly baby fly!!! I especially love, LOVE the weight!!! Oh my gawd it may be heavy if your strap is a shoe string, but I have taken a dump that weighed more than this! You WILL forget it's on you! Good job Ibanez!

Comments about Ibanez RG6003FM Electric Guitar:

The guitar has a great neck that is very comfortable to play. The pickups are quiet, no noise, and I can get the sounds I want through my amp. As an older musician, the light weight of the guitar helps with the neck and shoulder pain I get after a long gig.

Comments about Ibanez RG6003FM Electric Guitar:

Pickups could definitely use an upgrade, but they're not THAT bad. The top I got was disappointing, looked waaaaay worse than the picture with deformities in it, but that's just visual and imo not worth removing a star. This guitar can shred, neck feels great, after an amateur set up from your truly it has decently low action without fret buzz, intonation is fine, and it stays in tune. Fret ends were great, no problems for me. Hardware all worked fine. Honestly this guitar can do it all. For recording you probably want to use your best guitar, but it could do it too. Love the fret markers on the side, makes it look way cooler and was a huge plus. If you snag this up on sale, you'll be getting an incredible value.

Comments about Ibanez RG6003FM Electric Guitar:

There are few guitars that I would consider THE ONE!!!!I have 4 RGs and love all of them. I still can't understand all the trash talk bout the pickups. If you take a little time you will find the sweet spot between your guitar and amp. I have a one of a kind custom made for me and I still go right for my RGs. Owned my first Ibby in 1978 and I've never looked back and I think you too will never look back if you try one.

Comments about Ibanez RG6003FM Electric Guitar:

The Ibanez is pretty much a great deal. Flamed top and mahogany body and bound at that, nice, the back is multi piece but most are till you hit high end. Action, fret work and neck were all spot on, no fret buzz or unfinished fret ends. I like string though also as the sustain is great. The guitar needed to be set-up, intonation, saddle height, pick-up height. The electronics are silent and are completely usable. I play a couple different US guitars with boutique pick-ups but these are nothing to sneeze at. All usable tones in all five positions. I really like the body and neck of the electric and the "weight" is spectacular. Pick-ups and electronics are subjective, the point is, the guitar is spot on and unplugged. I suppose theres always something to critique but the guitar is completely usable and definitely works live and does so clean or overdriven quite well, in which case imho they usually don't do clean articulated individual notes, this does clean quite acceptably, works well as is. Well done!

Comments about Ibanez RG6003FM Electric Guitar:

This guitar is Great! The problem is the frets not the pickups. The frets are not level and you need to have a experienced tech level and polish the frets adjust the neck as well check the inotation. I bought this for so cheap that I paid extra 140 to do this and it sounds amazing. It substains for so long I have to mute it. You have to remember this guitar has sat for so long neck shrinks from dry air. You can change pickups you will have same problem if you don't get professional set up

Comments about Ibanez RG6003FM Electric Guitar:

Absolutely wonderful guitar. The Quantum pickups are very high-output and crunchy. The tuning stability is impeccable. Whoever designed mine was a genius craftsman. It has a bit of fret buzz, but it is forgivable. It could sustain better, but this is due to its amazingly comfortable light-weight size, and it's nothing a tube screamer couldn't fix. This guitar is also incredibly versatile. It's perfect not only for metal, but also for jazz and the blues; the five-way switch allows for coil-splitting that has an amazing clean sound.

Comments about Ibanez RG6003FM Electric Guitar:

I didn't have high expectations when I ordered this guitar based on the price. I have now had this guitar for about 3 months and never write reviews but this review needs to be written. This guitar proves that you don't have to pay a fortune to have a quality guitar. The fit and finish on this guitar is what I would have expected out of the Prestige series. The frets work is second to none, the action was perfect, guitar was in perfect intonation out of the box. The maple top is gorgeous and far nicer than what I thought was possible at this price. It was the little things that really impressed me though. The pickup rings are metal, not plastic. When I opened the electronics cavity, it was the cleanest wiring I have ever seen and the wires were even zip tied. To say that I am impressed with the overall quality of this guitar would be an understatement.

It has a standard thin Ibanez neck profile which one would expect so flying up and down the neck is a breeze with this guitar, super smooth and comfortable. It has been my go to guitar since I received it.

As some have stated the pups are not the best but they really aren't the worst either. They are very responsive, dynamic and full of warmth. The only place that they lack and it is by such a small margin is in articulation. I just put a Tone Zone and Air Norton in a few hours ago and will likely pull them back out and put them in something else because the difference really doesn't constitute they extra money considering they cost nearly as much as this guitar.

Get your hands on one of these if you can because these are total diamonds in the rough.....HUGE value for your money.

I HAVE THE CLEAR SATIN FINISH OVER THE FLAME MAPLE TOP AND IT IS KILLER BUT I AM A SUCKER FOR THE NATURAL WOOD GRAIN LOOK ANYWAY. THIS GUITAR IS SO EASY TO PLAY. WITH ITS FLATTER FRET BOARD RADIUS AND THE JUMBO FRETS, STRING BENDING IS A BREEZE. FOR THE PRICE, I COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW GOOD IT SOUNDS AND PLAYS. I JUST PLAYED A GIG A COUPLE WEEKENDS AGO AND GOT MANY COMPLIMENTS ON MY PLAYING AND MY SOUND. YEARS AGO, I OWNED THE IBANEZ DTX 120 AND SOMETIMES WISH I HAD IT BACK BUT NOW THE RG6003FM HAS TAKEN ITS PLACE AND I AM NOW AN IBANEZ FAN. THE SATIN FINISH ON THE BACK OF THE NECK IS SWEET ALSO. HAVEN'T PERFORMED ANY MODS TO MINE EXCEPT FOR PUTTING ON A GOOD SET OF STRINGS. IBANEZ ROCKS!!!

The coil split is very nice. This guitar is incredible. You can play everything from country, to worship music, to rock or metal.
