A modern refresher on a classic Martin that's versatile enough for any genre.

The Martin HD12-28 12-string acoustic guitar brings the archetypal sound of a 12-string dreadnought, built with Martin's expert craftsmanship. Strumming the six courses of steel strings elicits the quintessential 12-string chime, with sparkling highs and rich, textured bass. The HD12-28 features solid Sitka spruce on top for balanced tone and good projection. Back and sides are solid East Indian rosewood, which provides depth and sustain to the complex 12-string voicings. With an ebony fingerboard and bridge, each note rings out with clarity.

Vintage Style With Herringbone Binding and Antique White

In addition to excellent materials and construction, the HD12-28 incorporates vintage design elements for esthetically pleasing appointments. This starts with herringbone binding along the top for a classic look. Antique white binding along the body and fingerboard also evokes an aged elegance. Together with an all-gloss nitrocellulose finish and aging toner, the HD12-28 emanates vintage character.

Martin Neck Profile For Comfortable Playability

The HD12-28 has a solid mahogany neck with Martin's Performing Artist profile, providing a comfortable and familiar feel. It has a wide but tapered neck width for accessibility when navigating the 12 strings. The fingerboard is ebony with 20 frets and a 25.4" scale length. Combined with a smooth satin finish on the back of the neck, playing the HD12-28 feels natural and effortless.

Project Your Sound With the Dreadnought Body

As a dreadnought acoustic guitar, the HD12-28 produces a balanced and strong acoustic voice. Its larger lower bout provides booming bass, while the wide waist grants it impressive projection. From intimate coffee shop sets to larger venues, the HD12-28 dreadnought body gives your 12-string playing bold resonance. It comes with a hardshell case for safe transport and storage.
