This Special Sloped Shoulder Mahogany Dreadnought incorporates Martin's 185-year heritage of building some of the finest instruments, especially the beloved dreadnought, with some very attractive cosmetic changes such as an all-black finish, claro walnut binding and mother-of-pearl fingerboard inlays and gold aged relic nickle tuners. It offers a loud, punchy sound worthy of driving a rhythm section in a band and is just as adept at handling more sensitve material as an accompaniment to just a human voice. Its popular pairing of a Sitka spruce top and mahogany body with custom scalloped X bracing ensures a well-balanced tonal spectrum.
