Comments about Mitchell MX400 Exotic Wood Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I am an itermediate player. After buying two other acustic electric guitars I sent them back. A friend had just bought his Mitchell AJ 220. I really was blown away by this guitars voice unplugged and amazed at the sound of this beauty plugged into my Cube amp. After putting Elixer Nanoweb strings the playability was even more awsome. If your looking for an acustic/electric try this wonderful guitar out.

Comments about Mitchell MX400 Exotic Wood Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I am amazed at how much tone this guitar puts out in such a small body. The quilted ash looks great and the tone quality is that of $700+ guitars. The only complaints I have are some slight fret buzzing on the lower frets on lower strings (probably due to technique more than anything else), and the action was set up slightly higher than I prefer.

Comments about Mitchell MX400 Exotic Wood Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Great guitar at a great price. Slight adjustments when purchased, to get the action where I wanted it and it plays great. I was really looking for something with a lower action that I would enjoy playing. Started strumming on a Gibson Hummingbird and working my way through lower end guitars that had a similar feel. Not saying it is a Gibson, but the feel was better than guitars 2 to 3 times as much that had the similiar feel.

Nice bright sound and good volume for being a shallow body. The finish is beautiful and so different from any of my other acoustics. My dad has a similiar Dean that sells for around 700 and thus is way better in regards to looks and sound, and almost identical with how the action feels. The electronics work well, but basic and the tuner is a little slow on response. Great value and I love playing it.

Comments about Mitchell MX400 Exotic Wood Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I've always had trouble finding an acoustic guitar that was comfortable for me, and this one is by far the most comfortable I've ever played. I have another brand that cost more than twice what this one did that hasn't left its case since this one came home. The guitar arrived with a lot of relief in the neck and did require a setup, but once that was done, it plays fantastically. It's a gorgeous guitar, as well. This one is a great value that looks, plays and sounds far above its price tag.

Iv'e tunes it to an open chord for a couple tunes in my set
Also own a Taylor and the Mitchell guitar is the very same shape and cut just a little less thick in the depth

Comments about Mitchell MX400 Exotic Wood Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

The guitar is just stunning which was my first attraction to it. It has a smaller body than my other guitar an this is why I bought it for better stand/playing (to get my arm around). But the smaller body, gives a little smaller sound. I noticed it doesn't have a resonance that I am used to in a full body guitar. I haven't plugged it into an amp yet, but hopefully it will be a full enough sound.
