A stunningly beautiful slimline hollowbody electric with an amazing array of tones.

Our buyers”experienced players themselves”went to Paul's Maryland shop where they handpicked a group of knockout guitars with the most stunning tops, unusual appointments, and the lightest bodies.

This handpicked PRS Hollowbody II Electric Guitar is carved inside and out with only a small block under the bridge connecting the back and top. The Hollowbody II is PRS's most popular semi-hollow guitar. PRS crafts the Hollowbody II with solid mahogany rims and a solid, deeply carved figured maple top and back. The PRS Hollowbody II offers brilliant acoustic qualities for a thinline hollow electric guitar. This stunning PRS guitar is finished in a striking dark cherry wraparound sunburst finish. The comfortable wide fat mahogany neck has a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard adorned with moon dot inlays.

With the patented PRS/LR Baggs Piezo System, you can plug the Hollowbody II directly into your PA or recording console and your amp at the same time. This piezo pickup system has a huge array of tones and simple switching possibilities. The Hollowbody II also features PRS Starla treble and bass pickups with proprietary alnico magnets for clean and crisp sound. They produce rich harmonic overtones when driven. PRS includes a hardshell case with the Hollowbody II electric guitar.

sweetest guitar I've ever played

By Tony Trupp

Staff Reviewer

Everyone always tends to gush over their guitars in these reviews... but in short, this really is the best sounding guitar that I've ever played (which might be over a hundred by now). It's got this openess & clarity where every note seems to resonate and breathe. Great sustain, body, depth, etc. With the lower output archtop pickups that came with mine (no longer the case), I was thinking that this wouldn't be so good for meatier styles of rock, but it can get suprisingly aggressive. But I play a lot of fingerstyle/slap/popping/flamenco type stuff, and there it really shines. Single clean notes really stand out. I love the fixed bridge, since it allows much more sound transfer to the body, and chords don't go out of tune when you're bending a string. I was a little hestitant about the fat wide neck that comes on these, but it's actually much faster than my custom carvin that this is replacing. If I had one minor complaint, it's that I wish the pickups had a coil-tap, but a bought this for it's super phat tone anyway, so no biggie.
The model that I purchased was without the piezo and had moon inlays, archtop pickups, violin amber burst finish, wooden tuner pegs.
Absolutely flawless. Beautiful finish. perfect neck. clear, articulate pickups, etc I'd been dreaming about getting one of these someday since I first played one about 8 years ago. Since then I've probably played 4-5 prs hollowbody IIs, and it seems like they're consistent in terms of tone and playability. PRS has some great quality control, at least on their US made stuff.
I got mine used, so it was well worth the price.
