To celebrate spring's arrival, Taylor Guitars is releases its always anticipated Spring Limited Edition models. This year's Limiteds feature an exciting array of exotic tonewoods joining in on Taylor's springtime fun.

Introduced in 2006, the Grand Symphony (GS) is an original design from top to bottom”and the first new Taylor shape in over a decade. It was a hit right out of the gate. Expect acoustic power with every note, with deep, piano-like bass, rich mids and clear, balanced highs”and plenty of volume. It's a whole new flavor of Taylor tone.

Fans of walnut's tonal mix of brightness, projection and warmth will rejoice at the sound and look of the 400 Series Limiteds. The 416ce-LTD sports a deeply figured, chocolate-hued walnut back and sides dramatically contrasted by a figured maple back mini wedge and heel cap, along with a maple neck and body binding. Walnut' blend of brightness and projection with warm overtones produces an appealing complexity, especially over time, making it a preferred tonewood of many folks at Taylor. The 416ce-LTD also features a Sitka spruce top, and additional premium appointments include an abalone rosette and an all-gloss finish.

The Spring Limiteds come with a cutaway, Taylor's popular and intuitive Expression System pickup, and in a hardshell case.

Taylor Expression System
The Taylor ES delivers an amplified tone that will satisfy the most demanding pro player, yet makes it simple for anyone to plug in and sound great. The Expression System incorporates three different magnetic sensors. Two strategically placed Dynamic Body Sensors affixed to the underside of the soundboard capture the complex nuances of the top's vibration, while a Dynamic String Sensor mounted beneath the fretboard extension registers string and neck vibration. The preamp boosts the pickup signal cleanly, without the need for artificial EQ "coloration". The balanced, low-impedance signal the Expression System produces can run direct into a mixer or PA in most situations, and is free of distortion at almost any volume. Three simple, unintrusive onboard control knobs preserve the aesthetic beauty of your Taylor, yet allow you to easily adjust the volume, bass, and treble to suit your personal preferences and performance environment. The payoff is in the purity of high-fidelity amplified tone, unprecedented dynamic range, and extraordinary resistance to feedback and distortion. It enables all of the expressive subtleties of your playing to come through, just the way you intended.
