Don't Forget

The husky-voiced Dreadnought 320e-Baritone SLTD features sapele back and sides paired with a mahogany top. Between the Dreadnought body style and 27" baritone scale length (tuned to B), players can expect a deep, burly tone with loads of low-end growl and woody midrange warmth. The hardwood mahogany top adds natural compression, which helps produce a linear tonal response. The combination of low-end rumble and punchy articulation makes the guitar a great option for weaving bass lines with another guitar part, and all that acoustic depth will translate to any performance setting with Taylor' new Expression System 2 pickup. The guitar comes with a 2014 Spring Limited label and ships in a Taylor deluxe hardshell case.

Comments about Taylor 2014 Spring Limited 320e Baritone Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Taylor doesn't use built in tuners, which I've gotten used to the past few years. I hadn't owned a guitar that had one until 2 years ago. I had a Martin CXAE since 2002. Got crunched in 2011. Found a newer version w/ great electronics & a tuner last fall. Before that, last spring, a Tenor then then a regular Ovation, both TX Elites.

This spring met a Taylor rep & played the 410 & 810 series. Asked him about the 8-string Baritone I had really been interested in and he showed me this 6-string. WOW!! As soon as I played it, I was in love. The low B is a 70. But it feels like a really light set of strings on a regular guitar. Plays exactly the same. Transposing a fourth down sometimes is tricky but it sounds AMAZING! Plugged in or not. Capo-ing up to E gets a little weird, I wouldn't go higher. But it's great if you need any key in-between. Just 3 knobs on the side; bass, treble & volume. So simple.

I was cautioned not to tune it to any other key than B. That's the way it was designed. And to only use Baritone string sets. As Taylors go they can all be temperamental when it comes to humidity, but keeping it in it's case when not in use has helped a lot. Taylors always need time to acclimate wherever you're playing; so give yourself a good half an hour before hand. Once it's settled & in tune your good to go!

It's great for coming up with new song ideas and playing different chord iterations & inversions. Double capo, one on the 3rd and another from the bottom on the 5th, leaving the low B open, gives you a super simple drop D without having to change anything. You can get real creative with a few capos.

Get one NOW while they're still around!! You can't beat the quality for the price. I'm constantly asked about this guitar. It truly is amazing!!
